Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort

My friends and I stayed there this weekend. It was fabulous!! The food was a little too healthy for my style but still tasty. The service was great at check in and they let us do a late check out. I would recommend this resort.

I love everything about this hotel except for the hidden charges that we paid upon checking out. But anyway, my family and I enjoyed our stay very much so it’s no big deal.

The hotel was great, Lavender Odetteh provided excellent service. I was a whole week for a conference. Lavender checked me in on Sunday, She answered all of my questions, When I saw her through the week she asked me if I needed anything. She always had a smile on her face. A majority of our conference took in the Marriot. I do think we had more people than they were accustomed to. There were times that participants were not able to get snacks because they were not left out long enough through transition time. Other than those minor things, I enjoyed my stay. I loved the fruit water in the lobby.

I came here for a reunion with my girlfriend. She came from Georgia. I came from massachusetts we both had 13 hour drive and drove down. It was a long ride when we got here we got our rooms. We had a problem with that so I was going down to the front desk to see if I could fix it and I met Robert Savage who’s your director engineering director here at Marriott on just Sundays thank God I ran into him and I told him my problem and he came down and between him Kay and Shantavia who are awesome people they fixed my problem. I am so happy we use Marriott all the time. My husband is a Goldmember has traveled all over the world stayed in marriot south korea his company only sends their people to marriot residence for month stays all year and even though it took a while for them to fix the problem. It was the best room that I could’ve possibly wanted I thank all of them Kay and shay’s and Robert for all the hard work and making this reunion the best thing that we could possibly have . we are older so we were also very exhausted and appreciate the kindness and caring of your staff we will let my husbands company know how great these people are

LOUIS BAXTON helped me immediately when I needed assistance with parking and did it with a huge smile on his face. He made me feel important and I appreciates his urgency to help me! I look forward the next event that brings me to this resort and excellent staff.

The rooms are very clean, Hotel Valet, awesome room service. The hotel staff are very welcoming. The restaurants food is delicious, and the room attendant that serviced our room named Brooke was so friendly and done an outstanding job on çleaning our room, and making sure we had clean towels!

My wife & I have stayed here many times since it opened a few years ago. It is truly the BEST hotel property in Virginia Beach. The hotel is always immaculately clean, 5 restaurants choices with excellent food and the staff is super friendly & efficient. Sydni, front desk manager, was over the top helpful to make sure our reservation and room choice with suite upgrade was confirmed without hassle, even to the point of provide the specific room we had requested prior to arrival. Sydni could not have been more pleasant and personable throughout our stay. She is truly an asset to the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort team.

This hotel is not worth the money. This Mariott had issues from check in to check out. We arrived to find the hotel has no valet service and we were given a firm "go park in the parking garage" when we asked about parking at the front for check in. After a long wait for check in with one employee at the front desk, we checked in. We asked again about valet as we saw parking spaces in the parking garage for valet and were told a firm "we do NOT have valet parking." The room was okay but one bed cover was dirty and the feather pillows were not changed out as I requested in the booking and by calling the hotel to follow up. After 1 hour of waiting on the pillows and bed cover to be changed out by housekeeping and two phone calls, my Husband went back to the front desk and stood in line again to ask for the pillows to be changed. I have a child with a down "feather" allergy so we could not allow her to sleep on the pillows. The front desk called the room stating we had asked for extra pillows and they were delivered. What? I have called twice and visited the front desk and the Mariott staff did not listen in all three interactions. We never just asked for extra pillows and no hotelstaff had come to our door. It was unacceptable for a Mariott. Housekeeping finally brought the pillows 1.5 hours after the original request and we gave up on asking about the bed cover. This "hotel" is NOT a resort and not up to Mariott quality. Both nights we stayed the fire alarm sounded. One night at midnight. There was a wedding on Saturday and we had to circle the self parking garage 3 times to find a parking space. The wedding guests partied loudly for hours, and someone on our floor slammed doors until after 3AM. The restaurants service was great from servers but the hostess staff at the rooftop restaurant were rude and uninterested. I would NEVER book this hotel again. The lobby was always crowded with people that seemed to be walking around lost, service was a joke in the main hotel, the elevators were the slowest I have ever encountered outside a cruise ship, and parking was outrageous at $30+ per night for self parking with no valet. This was more of party motel than a resort hotel. If you want to be a 4 star hotel, up your service, your cleaning standards, and offer valet parking. You are a 3 star hotel at best as is. Get more for your money and go to the Embassy Suites next door. They offer valet parking at the same price we paid for self parking. I feel like I was cheated out of $1,000 (total cost) for a really awful two night stay.
