Travelodge by Wyndham Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront

The hotel needs a lot of updating. The elevator is slower then ever. You’d wait a good 10 mins just for it to stop on your floor. The one Indian lady at the front desk always had an attitude and was rude. The one step in the stair way has messed up stairs and you could see where multiple people dropped cups and food and items from falling (that needs fixed) other then that my family enjoyed our stay but won’t be staying back at this hotel again. We left the hotel cleaner then when we arrived.

The hotel was an absolute dump from the outside to inside. The lobby was dingy, unwelcoming, and the roof was leaking. The elevator looked 100 years old and creaked the whole way. The building needed to be power washed and repainted. The room was dirty under the couch and in the kitchen area, there were large stains on the bed skirt, long blank hair on my bathroom towel, and the bedroom lamp didn't work. I booked for 4 nights, only stayed 1, but should've left immediately.

I guess you get what you pay for. If you’re looking for something affordable and don’t care about how the room is, then definitely this is the one for you. Please be aware that the bathroom has a terrible design and it is extremely small. You barely have room to sit on the toilet, as it is angled with the tub, and when you use the shower the water goes EVERYWHERE. The curtain was absolutely useless. Oh, and they only clean the rooms every 3 days, soooo… get ready to deal with the sand that you bring back from the beach.

Pool is very nice, clean, and private. Balcony overlooking ocean is very pleasant and relaxing. Key to open our door was no problem, unlike every other hotel we have stayed in. Bathroom is small...just a toilet and shower...and sink is in our hallway. Much better since there were 5 of us in a suite. Kitchen/livingroom was pleasant and spacious. Yes, it's older, and no frills. We came to the beach to be on the beach, so no problem for us. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again! Parking here was easy! Coffee in lobby is great!

For the price, it's really a great place to stay! It's literally in the middle of the *****. Grate location! I definitely recommend!

This was ok for one night...but it is very dated. The trim was coming apart from the walls, the cabinets, counters and floors all scratched up. Had to ask (and ask) for a couple of pillows. Out of shampoo and conditioner. Tiny pool. Staff were ok... just not a place we will go back to.

The location was good but the room was dirty when we checked in, one small elevator and uncomfortable beds.

This place not only has the worst customer service and deteriorating rooms, but It is also dangerous. There is BED BUGS!!!!!! My daughter woke up in the middle of the first night with rashes on her arm clearly caused by bedbugs and the uncleanlyness of the place, and when we brought the issue to the sleeping front desk receptionist, his reply was not an apology or anything close it but an unpolite: “I need to check you out”. No offer for another room, or return of money, no compensation. We knew right there and then that we need it to get our family out of this dangerous and unhygenic place ASAP. Fortunately, we found another hotel at 3:00 am close by that was much cleaner and better kept. I took the proper precautions by checking every member of our family for rashes, had my daughter take a shower at the new hotel and sealed the clothes she was wearing in a plastic bag. Because of this experience, I will probably never come back to Virginia beach. Or maybe I will reconsider when I learn that this place has been shut down by the health department.

Travelodge at 1909 was Clean, Centrally located to events and entertainment and Fantastic Ocean Views.
