Sabala Heritage Home

I stayed with my family at Sabala heritage home , it is a beautiful green cover full of coconut trees and lots of of other fruit trees with beautiful green lawns, while being in this property you would never feel it is bijapur ( because Bijapur is not so green) the rooms the washrooms all were perfect and the compound is full of trees and beautiful jasmine plants, so there is a wonder floating smell of jasmine flowers several type floating in the air. All of you visiting bijapur if you are staying in Bijapur this is a must try place , just wonderful

THE OWNER IS A SCAMMER. The owner of this place is a grumpy old woman who has no respect for customers. The room was supposed to be an AC room but we ended up getting a non-AC Room. The room was dirty, had stains on the sheets and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There were several flies everywhere and upon complaining, the grumpy owner just questioned me back saying, “you’ve booked a place on the border, the room can’t be cleaner”. She didn’t even provide any toiletries, and upon questioning she mentioned that those are only for AC Room customers. There were no glasses, no proper chairs. There was also no WiFi and upon asking, she mentioned WiFi is not for Non-AC rooms but only for AC rooms. There is no WiFi connectivity anywhere in the area. Although the website mentions that there is free WiFi connectivity everywhere in the area, this owner has been scamming her customers ever since. The chair in our room was broken and she refused to exchange it for a better one. We ordered dinner in the room and the staff kept telling us to go down and eat even though my family member was injured. We were travelling with two dogs and she hadn’t informed us about paying extra for the dogs prior. She told us that we need to pay extra for the dogs only after I checked in. Although the location of the place is good, the staff, service and the quality of food and stay is below par. It is not worth your money and you can easily find a better place elsewhere. As a customer, you don’t deserve to deal with this grumpy old lady. She’s not worth your money.

This is a wonderful property in Bijapur just 10 minute from all the major tourist attractions by car, This is a resort property full of green trees fruit trees and coconut grove, and on many of these trees you can see nest of weaver birds. The rooms are very spacious and big bathroom with all facilities . This property has no comparisons as all other properties in Bijapur are hotel buildings where as sabala is a green heaven . I would always stay here on my future visits. And you should stay here to experience this. As the sun sets the wonderful smell of jasmine flowers and night blooming jasmine engulfs you , a magical experience and a wonderful host

We had a great 2 night stay at Sabala and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and the home cooked local food with garden fresh vegetables was incredible. The property itself is lovely and very green, away from the busy town center. Mallamma was a very hospitable host and was helpful with whatever we needed, from booking cabs to making sure there was dinner waiting for us in our room when we arrived in Bijapur after 1am. We will definitely stay here again if we ever come back.

Wanted a stop over while on a road trip and stopped here. Stay was fine and staff was cooperative. Only feedback will be to improve bathroom cleanliness.The high point was the wonderful home cooked food made by the staff. Thanks for the hospitality.
