"Es ist kein protziger Ort, und für mich gibt es in Vence keinen besseren Ort für einen herzlichen Empfang und absolute Diskretion. Sie sind erstklassig, weit entfernt vom Trubel des Place du Grand Jardin und nur 5 Minuten von der Matisse-Kapelle entfernt, mit kostenlosen Parkplätzen. Sie werden nichts Besseres finden; ich wohne seit 1977 in Vence."
Hotel Spa & Restaurant Cantemerle
"Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen und hat einen grossen Garten mit vielen Liegemöglichkeiten. Unser Zimmer war sehr grosszügig mit Balkon und schönem Badezimmer. Leider fehlte eine Sitzmöglichkeit. Unschön finden wir auch, dass in den leeren Zimmern, nach der Reinigung Tag und Nacht das Licht brennt. Wir sind ja nicht in Versailles. Im Hotel finden viele geschäftliche Veranstaltungen und Events statt. Daher ist es nicht wirklich ruhig und idyllisch und die Leute nehmen keine Rücksicht auf die Hotelgäste, welche Erholgung suchen. Das Restaurant haben wir einmal am Abend besucht. Das Essen war mittelmässig. Dh. wir waren auf der Poolterrasse, weil es kein eigentliches Restaurant gibt. Dies ist auch unser Hauptkritikpuntk. Es gibt gar keine Möglichkeit drinnen zu frühstücken oder zu essen. Es ist unglaublich, bei jedem Wetter wird man gezwungen draussen zu sitzen. Obwohl problemlos improvisiert werden könnte. Daher sind 4 Sterne auch nicht gerechtfertigt. Wir haben das Personal wiederholt angefragt und nur negative Rückmeldungen erhalten. Bis auf wenige Ausnahmen, sind die Angestellten überhaupt nicht lösungsorientiert oder proaktiv. Wir waren 1 Woche im Hotel und haben das Management nie gesehen oder wurden gefragt wie es uns gefällt und ob alles in Ordung wäre. Sehr mangelhaft, egal wieviele Sterne, aus unserer Sicht ein "must" für einen professionellen Hotelier."

As a solo traveller from Asia, I enjoyed a wonderful dinner, and because of its serene surrounding, I over spent willingly to indulge myself in an evening of fine dinning. Vitorie is a small boutique hotel, so don't set too high an expectation. Its superb location is worth what you are paying for it...."
La Villa Roseraie , Hôtel Familial Ouvert Toute L Annee
"This hotel offers a good way to visit Vence without feeling hemmed in by tourists. The best things about the hotel are its quiet location, the in-room air conditioning, the swimming pool, and the on-site parking. Note that the English-language description of the hotel on ********** incorrectly states that bed sheets and towels are not available. Of course they are! The location of the hotel is convenient: it is just a few minutes walk to the busy narrow streets of the historical center and is about ten minutes walk to the Matisse Chapel. Another advantage of the hotel is that it is very quiet because it is not right in the center of the crowded town. The hotel is small with only a handful of rooms which makes it cosy. For those people arriving by car, the hotel has convenient on-site parking which costs 8 Euros per night (you need to reserve the parking). Note that the entry to the hotel is on a lower level and you have to go up some stairs to get to the rooms and pool. Nina who greeted us at the reception desk was friendly and helpful. We stayed in room number 2 which is on an upper floor and looks out over the terrace and over the garden next door. The bed was comfortable; the bathroom is small but fully equipped and includes a walk-in shower. Best of all, the in-room air conditioning was very much appreciated and allowed us to get a good night's sleep during July's heatwave. The swimming pool is a major bonus at Villa Roseraie. After a day of sightseeing, it was great being able to take a refreshing dip in the attractive pool and then relax on the loungers. Special large blue towels for swimming are stored in a poolside basket. Breakfast is included in the cost of the room and offers a small range of the usual items, and there are trays so that you can take things out to the terrace and eat in the fresh morning air. But, the quality of the food was fairly disappointing. For example, if you are looking for healthy yoghurt or healthy cereals you will find only sugar-filled options. And, instead of serving bread and pastries from the local bakery that is situated just a few steps down the road, the hotel instead offers unremarkable packaged items from a supermarket. There are a few other things that could be changed to improve the hotel. First, in the terrace and pool area, outdoor speakers play rock music from early in the morning until nighttime. The music is a distraction from enjoying the garden and the Alpes-Maritimes views especially when eating breakfast on the terrace o relaxing by the pool. Second, the room contained a small refrigerator but the freezer compartment needed to be defrosted in order for the fridge to be effective. Third, the room contained a scented deoderiser machine that leaves an artificial perfume smell on clothes and luggage. To summarise: Villa Roseraie is a great place to stay when visiting Vence. Although a few things could be improved, we would consider staying here again."

Wir vertrauen auf das erfreuliche Essen des Chef Roman Antoine und seines Experten-Küchenteams. Die luxuriösen Spa-Behandlungen im Schloss sind zweit bis neun. Wir wurden von Céline und Alex begrüßt und betreut, während wir im Villa Ponant verblieben! Wir empfehlen sehr, in diese hervorragende Lage zu entkommen, um einen erinnerelichen Aufenthalt mit Ihrer Familie!"

"We were looking for a hotel room for a couple of nights in Vence , and the towns’ tourist office found the Mas de Vence for us . This family run hotel was very welcoming , the bedroom with balcony was clean , and although it overlooked part of the road into the town , the sound of traffic was never a problem for us . There is a path /little road right next to the hotel which leads upwards into the town centre . The hotel breakfast was basic , the dinner was same but home made . Delicious desserts. There is a pool but it was closed as too early in the spring season . The bus stop toward St Paul de Vence is just across the road . We enjoyed our stay very much ."

"Ein sehr schönes altes Haus mit älteren aber stylischer Einrichtung. Sehr nette Betreiber und einfach ein Ort zum runter kommen. Ich würde hier sofort wieder Buchen wenn ich in der Nähe bin. Ich konnte entspannen und wäre gerne länger geblieben. Wir waren auf einem Motorrad Trip und mussten leider weiter. Der Pool und Außenbereich sind gepflegt."
