"There was a bit of a mix up with our reservation because apparently since we had booked online the reservation had been sent to their other hotel in El Fuerte. This was easily remedied and we had a great stay at this hotel. This hotel is located down the hill from the more expensive Hotel Mirador. That hotel is the one that has the views, but if you are looking for a good price and a comfortable room this is the best hotel for that. You can eat at the other hote, but it is kind of expensive. There are other options in the town, which is located a short walk from the hotel. This hotel is located right next to the train station at the Posada Barrancas, which was very convenient. The lady that worked at the front desk was very helpful with tours and the bus schedule and was definitely concerned with making our stay a good one."

"An amazing family owned property! The ambiance is incredible and very rustic. The photos give you a great view of the place.All rooms are at ground level. Rooms were spacious with a wood fired stove for very cold nights. Lots of extra blankets were in the room. Great showers! The morning breakfast was incredible delicious. Note that the hotel operates on a generator, which means electricity ends each night after everyone is in bed. Internet is available only in the great room. Payment in cash is preferred as use of credit cards is affected by access to wifi. They can arrange great tours depending on what you are looking for!"

"This is a laidback bed and breakfast and one of my favorites to go to with friends. They grow their vegetables, and there are plenty of tropical fruit trees. Getting to Urique is not easy, but once you’re there, you’ll agree that off-the-beaten-path trips are always the best. That being said, this is not for the bougie tourist but more for the adventurous traveler."
