DeSoto Beach Terraces

Location was amazing, right on the beach. View was partially obstructed by house in front of our house. House was ok but it was a little outdated. The rugs turned your feet black. Parking was rough. VERY TIGHT SPACE and hard to get into. Bed was comfy.

Loved every minute of it! This place is fantastic and I would definitely stay again and longer next time. There was so much room and it was just my daughter and I but my dad visited as he lives in Savannah and it was the perfect place!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Truly. The couch bed in our suite was very painful and uncomfortable for the person sleeping on it, and it caused irreparable chaos within our friend group. This was after Ro told us on the phone before booking that the couch bed was very comfortable (obv trying to make a sale, I realize now). We spoke to multiple staff, namely Susan, who literally did not care at all and offered no solutions beyond giving extra blankets. Everyone was rude and I would never stay here again if you paid me. I literally never leave bad reviews but damn this whole experience was so odd. And also they are super stingy about late checkouts, the most we could get was 30 minutes late after begging. TL;DR: If you won't need the couch bed and don't care about staff being nice, you're fine to stay here for a night. Otherwise, get an airbnb on the island.

When my wife left to get groceries I think the maintenance people thought we were gone, and decided it was a great time to enter the premises we rented without our knowledge. I heard someone at the door and opened it up to see a work crew that I had no warning of ask if they could come in to drain the water out of the sprinkler system. They didn't identify themselves, or say if the owners knew they were there at all. I told them to leave which they did. I then complained about the situation to the front desk. Later the manager of the hotel called me and told me that they would come in the room whether I liked it or not. I decided to just let them do it since we had the room for another 2 nights at this point. I still wonder if I shouldn't have left to get my money back. I don't appreciate having to change my plans to accommodate people I don't know, or have any knowledge of entering a room I am staying at with my family and all of my belongings. I spent an hour waiting for them to come back and finish their work. All together I feel like I was cheated out of a vacation day at the beach that I had worked hard for, and paid a fair price to accommodate the work responsibilities of this hotel, and this unidentified work crew. The entire experience made us feel very unsafe, and unwelcome. Next time I will give my business elsewhere.

Beautiful view and super nice staff. Will absolutely be back. The 3rd floor terrace was better than my expectations. Ocean view from the master bedroom was amazing. I love Tybee and this is a wonderful place to stay if you are going

We have stayed at the Desoto Beach Terrace (2nd floor) several times, we absolutely love it. It is old but we love the character of the house. The staff is always accommodating and very helpful and friendly. The house does need a few updates such as rug’s etc but overall it’s a great place to stay that’s on the beach. Great view of the ocean. We love Tybee Island and Desoto beach properties.

Beautiful and clean! Enjoyed our time. The A/C kept dripping because of the humidity but at least it worked the whole time we were there. Very friendly and courteous staff. We never complained about the A/C as it was a minor issue.

It had been a few years since we stayed, but we finally got back this year. It is one of our favorite places. Worth a visit if you have never been. The ocean view and access was better than we remembered. Ron and Linda, Tennessee

The view was amazing. Everything was top notched. Worth every dollar paid. Very convenient to the beach. Loved sitting on our deck, early in the morning watching the sunrise every morning. Everything was spotless. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
