RECOMMENDATION IF YOU CANCEL KEEP THE CANCELLATION NUMBER AND LOOK IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT BECAUSE THE HOTEL KEEP CHARGE YOUR CARD. On August I was charge $89.76 . October 21, $90 both reservation was canceled on June. I call the hotel the first time in August the person very rude said " call your bank". Today not general manager on site. Corry talk to me very polite, said " I will pass the message to the general manager. " I'm waiting. Picture - I did the first (res / can) the other two show in the Marriot app I don't make it. 😐

Go thru the motions to check in. Opened the door to the room and assaulted by the overpowering smell of carpet cleaner or something. Sat at the desk, which was convenient, and noticed no coffee maker in the room. Toilet paper holder broken, but somehow housekeeping performed magic to appear normal. Generally clean room, comfortable bed, and decent AC unit. Breakfast area extremely small.

Not Marriott quality. Check in experience was terrible. Even though we checked in online, we had to wait 30 minutes while the front desk clerk (Cameron) laughed and talked with his friend. We were already checked in! All we needed was a room key, since apparently they don’t do digital keys here (although website said they did). When we complained Cameron didn’t care, said his friend was getting 3 rooms. We didn’t see Cameron do anything for him the whole time. It was very suspicious. Pool was closed the whole time. Nothing about that in website. No maid service. Room was worn down, like the whole hotel. Basically you are getting a Motel 6 experience for a Marriott price. Not worth it.

I will start by saying that the staff was great and the hotel was basically clean. The overall issue is maintenance. A little paint, calk and TLC would go a long way here. I would start with fixing the signs light bulbs. The room smelled musty and the AC struggled. The curtain was torn and the TV was dated. The furniture was worn and threadbare. The bed was comfortable and clean. The breakfast bar was done in the cheap. No oatmeal on sad looking meat, 2 pieces of toast in the basket and the waffle mix/syrup were empty.

From a dirty room, people questioning us about our preferences, no more food for breakfast a half an hour before breakfast ends with no accountability, if you have a choice to stay somewhere else, do it. So shocked this brand usually is a great one for travel

This hotel is in a terrible location, it’s run down, the staff is unfriendly and on top of all of that they played bait and switch with our rate during the stay. Avoid this property at all costs. Much, much better options in town. Honestly it soured me on marriott as a brand.

The hotel was nice enough! We were only there to sleep and be close to University of Alabama without paying astronomical prices on campus! The ladies at the front desk on Wednesday 6/28 were super friendly and lovely!! The breakfast was always great!

Very inflexible and unhelpful for travelers that have issues and can’t make it. Issues came up with travel plans and asked to move reservations elsewhere or change a date and no help offered. Don’t recommend booking ahead of time.
