La Darsena Boutique Hotel & Restaurant

We came driving from Assisi and the hotel provided us driving instructions to the parking nearby. The hotel is located close to ferry for day trips to Bellagio and Varena docks. Our room was very spacious and with a magnificent view of the lake. The breakfast includes a variety of choices including sparkling Prosecco. The staff were very diligent when I forgot my passports in the room, they coordinated the delivery though DHL to our next hotel. Giuliano and family were immensely helpful in expediting this delivery. Recommended.

Very good location close to the ferry for day trips to Bellagio and Varenna, excellent breakfast in a lovely restaurant with amazing view of the lake to start your day, good sized rooms, we had small balcony overlooking the lake but not much time to sit on the balcony, there is so much to see arround

Our room had a great view of the lake, the staff was friendly and attentive location was awesome.The restaurant had a good selection of items.The hotel was close to the ferry and bus stop. The area was a great hub for our vacation definitely will book again.

Of our many trips to Italy (including 3 to the Lakes) this is the best hotel we have stayed in, especially for the rating. If you want opulence, go to the Grand down the road in Tremezzo. If you want the most wonderful view, great food and service, go to La Darsena. Lovely people too, family owned. Outstanding value. We had a room on the first floor with two balconies, both overlooking the lake. No road or anything else in between, you're actually over the lake. Quite exceptional. We would certainly book this place again if we return to Lake Como.

What a beautiful family establishment where you can sit on the balcony for breakfast and dinner (we had half board) and be so close to that extraordinary view! We felt like stars given the best table for dinner at night and having first class meals. We had a corner room with a view of the lake - the perfect balance of $$ and views. Car parking was easy and the ferry to Bellagio was amazing. We had nothing but smiles and friendly chats with everyone at La Darsena. We will be back!

I wish this family continued success and the best for years to come. We stayed here for 4 wonderful nights. Loved the breakfast with a view; the fruit was amazing. We also ate a 6 course meal on our wedding night. The food was exquisite, and the Italian wedding cake coupled with the recommended Moscato was delicious. My compliments to the chef and his work of art. To add on, my wife’s hair and makeup artists even loved the food, and they raved about it. The hospitality at La Darsena was superb. My hats off to the cleaning ladies for always doing an amazing job. Everyone was very kind and accommodating, from the front desk to the waiters/waitresses. From our experience, I think they should teach classes in hospitality because of how great they did. We will definitely be staying here whenever we visit Lago di Como.

Good location, clean, large rooms, some with a nice lake view. Were accommodating when my travel companion couldn’t make it due to flight delays. I enjoyed my experience until check out. I swapped to a different room upon check in as i was now traveling solo and i was quoted a charge of approx 69€ for this (as it was a bigger room) and accepted that - we paid around 300-350£ for the room so it felt fair. But then at check out I was charged an additional 269€ for the room change. When I explained that this was not the amount originally quoted to me and that I would have never accepted that charge in light of it being almost as much as we had originally paid the staff got extremely rude with me. They had no compassion and tried gaslighting me, saying the staff member who did the swap for me spoke english very well and definitely explained the charges to me, I must’ve made the mistake. He did not, he quoted me 39€ a night at 69€ total, not 200 more than that. When i got upset the staff became extremely unkind and laughed and shrugged their shoulders and forced me to pay. When I mis-used £ over € (because it’s my usual currency) they made fun of me for that as well, saying “He wouldn’t have charged you Pounds so you’re definitely wrong.” It’s one thing to miscommunicate a cost that is substantially higher than what was agreed, but it’s another thing to deal with the issue and the guest with such a lack of grace and common decency. Suffice to say I won’t be returning as that experience really soured my stay. The food was average.

A beautiful small hotel on the lake. Rooms overlook the lake and the restaurant is out of a fairy tale. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant is outstanding and service is excellent. Area is convenient with walking distance to ferries that can take you to Como, Bellagio and Varenna. We really enjoyed our stay there!

The location of this hotel is fabulous! It’s not overly touristy, there’s a ferry very close, and there’s a walking path to Lenno that goes along the water and up through the hills. The restaurant is somewhat fancy, in the summer I’m sure it fabulous with the windows open. The room was good size, nice view of lake. The only downside was the shower, it’s only a bathtub with a shower hand wand. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They have about 6 parking spots next to the hotel, otherwise they have party just around the corner within a short walk. I highly recommend.
