Great Wolf Lodge Traverse City

We had such a fun trip! The staff is beyond amazing. Every single person we encountered was friendly and had a smile on their face and wanted to help in any way they can. So much so I wondered what it would be like to work for Great Wolf Lodge! We spent a lot of time in the waterpark tons of time in MagicQuest and time with the group events. Everything was fun and safe.

I was there for a large conference. Upon arrival they “didn’t” have the one I requested and paid for. Check out was worse. I had $309.77 in charges that I didn’t make. The supervisor wasn’t there and the lady at the front desk “didn’t know how to fix it” she stated that they “realized the mistakes made yesterday on many bills but, didn’t have time to fix them all.” What??? I waited 45 minutes for the supervisor to arrive but, she never did the lady at the front desk said “oh, I called her and she told me how.” I might have sat there all day! I’m wondering how many didn’t look at their bills and it got billed to their credit cards! 🤬

Stayed here for our annual wine trip to Leelanau. Everything was great except the beds. Lumpy and sank to the middle.

Never again! Had so many issues with the wristbands. Had to get all new wristbands on the second day and still had issues. Paid for dining credits and the wristband was charging to the room and not my dining credits, which in the end, maxed out my credit card. So many hidden fees and charges and now have to pay for parking PER DAY. Had to go to the front desk 3-4 times per day to deal with issues between the wristbands and my dining credits. When you pay the deposit at the time of booking, it gives you your remaining balance. That remaining balance should include all the fees, including resort fees that they charge per day and don't tell you about, as well as any dining credits or add on packages. Instead, they give you your remaining balance then charge you extra fees at the time of check in. When you scan your wristband for dining, it charges a seperate fee for a tax. In the end, I payed a ton of extra fees. Didn't even use all my dining credits because they charged the food to my room instead of the credits and the front desk said there's no way to move the charge for the food over to my dining credits, and they do not reimburse you for any unused dining credits. We went to celebrate my sons 10th birthday and the whole trip was aweful and very stressful. Will not be going back and will stick with Frankenmuth from here on out.

Never again!!! Horrible vacation and absolutely nickle and died on everything. Now, not only do you pay a RESORT FEE, you have to PAY TO PARK YOUR CAR - another $15. Then, they sign out towels which you are charged for if you misplace. The whole facility is not as clean as it used to be or upkept as in the past. This place has gone so down hill and there are vacation sites all over the country and Michigan that offer better value. GWL has gotten way too greedy and we will NEVER return. A large group of families would go and they all agreed on never returning. Horrible!! They can keep their lousy parking fee and have an empty hotel sit there. They are just ruining their own business!!!

We’ve always enjoyed our family vacation here. Never had a bad experience but now they’re charging $15 to park your vehicle overnight. In all my travels this is a first. So we decided as a family unit we wouldn’t tip and yes I go extra on all my tips. They got their tip when they charged us $15!!

Did online booking added packages, invoice original invoice was 875.00 got to the place 2nd original invoice was 956.00 got 3rd invoice was 1000.00 and something only thing added two original bill was 100.00, then they started adding all the unseen taxes and parking fees and other fees, so instead of 875.00 plus one hundred dollars witch should have been 975.oo. now all said and done I'm well over a thousand dollars that's including being under my 100.00 food allowance inwitch we only used less than half because they wanted 18.00 for a cheeseburger meal and family of 5 it's cheaper to eat somewhere else, I could go on and on but I won't beware take family somewhere else.

Our trip started off nice enough. After our first night we went out all day, coming back to our room around 6 PM. I was very disappointed to see house keeping hadn't been to our room at all. I'm not even sure they were in it the day before we checked in based on the trash cans. So, we come back to a room full of soaking wet towels, full garbage cans etc. I call down to the front desk and let them know. They send someone else up who knocks on our door as we are about to head to the pool. Two hours later we come back only to find our door left propped open, it was an instant panic. We had to go in and inspect everything to make sure nothing was stolen. I also went down to the front desk to formally complain and make sure it was noted in case we did find anything missing later. They were nice enough and wanted to make it up to me by offering some free putt golf or something. At this point I was already pretty upset and wanted nothing more to do with this place,. I was also upset at the $15/night for parking (we were here for two nights) and asked if they could just waive the parking fees instead. Well, that's the one thing they can't do apparently. So now we're checking out, but we have these 'special' towels from the pool. I can't just leave them in my room, I've got to trek all the way back down to the pool to make sure I get proper credit for returning them. Otherwise they'll charge another $15/towel, and these towels are worth like $5 at most. The housekeeping issues and security issues would have been fine, but the resort fee, parking fee, and stupid towel check in process have ensured I will never be back.

We have been coming here for years and now just found out they are charging $15 per night for parking. Unbelievable. Nickel and diming at its finest. We also used to like the pizza but it is now less than little Caesars quality. Only 1 elevator working out of two by main lobby. Not sure we will come back as the quality has dropped and the expenses have gone up.
