Hampton Inn Chicago/Tinley Park

Basic 2-3* hotel. I’m literally sitting outside the hotel writing this. We stayed here two nights since we were going to see two concerts. It’s a great location if you that’s what you are here for. First impression wasn’t great. We got here 11 pm and the front doors were locked. Understandable. But there were three people outside trying to get the front desk attendant’s attention. She looked right at us and ignored us. Finally someone with a key let us in. We had to ask for our free water. Non personable clerk. The room was freezing and was set to 60’. Bed is comfortable. Pillows are not. Room was fairly clean. Breakfast was the normal hotel fare. When I was taking a shower, the shampoo bottle was either empty or the pump broken. My husband had to go get shampoo while I waited in the shower. He comes back and then I realize the same thing with the conditioner. Grrr. The body wash bottle was completely missing. The makeup mirror had been removed. The towels are small. Both our keys were deactivated the second day. All these things are really no big deal in and of themselves but collectively just leave a bad taste. The employees just seem to have an “I don’t care” attitude. There hasn’t been a bag in the garbage can outside the front door since we got here. The smoking area is filthy. The cigarettes can is overflowing. Do you know how long that takes to fill? The little food desk by the front door looks awful and hasn’t been restocked. The women’s bathroom is out of paper towels and Kleenex. Small issues that add up. Idk if we’d stay here again.

This is a nice, clean, and basic hotel. It is definitely nice than some of the others in the area. It is close to everything in the area too. Breakfast was good, but nothing really stood out. Nothing bad, nothing good. Clean nice hotel at a good price. Exactly what I needed for the trip I was on.

One of the worse hotels I’ve ever stayed @ if NOT the worse. The young lady @ the front desk when we checked in was very kind w great customer service skills. Walking into the door I was hit w the smell of chlorine which made me think something was up w the pool considering online it stated the pool was out of order. The lobby carpet was dirty and disgusting, as a matter of fact the entire hotel was dirty & dingy. The room smelled of mildew and just totally gross. Lol the dresser drawers wouldn’t even close, they just hung open. I was just amazed that the room was even given to a guest. The furniture was beyond outdated and the carpet was dirty and gross. I usually love the breakfast @ hotels..I wouldn’t dare eat breakfast there nor did I even drink the coffee.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! The staff is AMAZING! The room was wonderful! The breakfast, again, wonderful! Our family of 4 stayed here, and we will be staying again. The overall atmosphere made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The rooms were spacious, and the restrooms are also very large and clean! I can’t say enough good things about our stay and the professionalism and the warm, inviting atmosphere the staff created. Thank you for making our stay wonderful!

So we stayed here because it was close to the Capitol 1 Amphitheater. The location is about as close as you can get. Lots of surrounding restaurants within walking distance. As would be expected, we paid an extremely high premium for the location on an event evening. The staff is absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly. The beds are comfortable in the rooms are as clean as they can get them. That is where the good stuff ends. The location is very dated and needs a lot of upgrading. The hallway carpets are loose and a trip hazard. The showers are in gross neglect and in need radical upgrading. The toilets are awful. The breakfast was a sad joke, I literally feel like my son gets better quality food at his school cafeteria. And tasteless reheated eggs and microwaved sausage. The only flavor any of it had was the hot sauce I was able to put on it. If you have the strength, definitely recommend eating breakfast out. If all you are looking for is a place to rest your head after a concert, and don’t care about a price, this is your location. If anything else matters to you, then I would recommend somewhere else.

The staff makes you feel comfortable, with a few upgrades it could easily become a boutique hotel. It's has nice quiet surroundings and close to stares for shopping walking distance. I would recommend

Where do I start. Okay so I reserved a room at this hotel because it said it had a hot tub and still has the picture of the hot tub on the listing which is obviously posted by the hotel. We get there, there's no hot tub. The pool was extremely cold as well. Got on the room and there were lots of things left on the floor from previous visitors. So we stayed one night, got coffee from the lobby the next day, and there were ants all around the coffee bar. Gross, but whatever. Decided to go back to our room and check for ants. Opened the curtains and found living and dead ants all over the window sill, the air conditioner and the floor and bed. We told the front desk and packed up all of our stuff and they moved us to the second floor. Got in the room, and sure enough there's ants in there too. They then moved us to their sister hotel across the street. Overall I'm super unhappy with my stay here. I rarely go on vacation and now I remember why.

Meh…no thanks. This Hampton Inn needs a serious renovation…dark, dingy & not very clean. Fire alarm went off for 12 hours while we were there. Front desk not very helpful. We always stay at Hampton Inns / Hilton…would not recommend this one.

we stayed at this Hampton....upon arrival and departure, both ladies, were extremely friendly, and helpful.....they honored my request for 1st floor, which we really appreciated. as I have knee and feet issues......breakfast was hot and tasty.....our room was very comfortable, we loved staying here, plus, theres restaurants walking distance, which is a huge plus in our wants....thank you Hampton inn....well be back!!!! :) :)
