Clafouti Beach Resort - A Seafacing Resort

3 Sterne vergebe ich nur wegen der Aussicht. Das einzig Gute an diesem Hotel ist die atemberaubende Aussicht von den Zimmern mit Blick auf die Klippen. Das Anwesen ist ziemlich gut. Erwarten Sie jedoch nicht viel in Bezug auf Service und Qualität. Sie stellen nur eine Flasche Wasser pro Zimmer und Tag zur Verfügung und berechnen einen zusätzlichen Wert (was ich absolut lächerlich fand). Wir buchten ein Premium-Rook mit Blick auf das Meer, das ein kostenloses Frühstück beinhaltete (es ist kein Frühstücksbuffet, es ist nur ein Frühstücksteller von der Frühstückskarte) und das Personal teilte uns sofort mit, dass der Preis für das Frühstücksmenü begrenzt ist Sie können bestellen & dass wir den Differenzbetrag bezahlen müssen, was absolut lächerlich war. Alles ist für sie Geld - Gimmick machen. Gehen Sie mit der Absicht, nur die Zeit damit zu verbringen, die Aussicht zu genießen, und experimentieren Sie mit anderen angrenzenden Cafés und Restaurants für gutes Essen.

Only one thing is good i.e it is near beach .Rest things are not good.Rooms are not well maintained having foul smell also having lot of stains on walls ***** with lot mosquitos and flies. If you just want to spend one night than choose it else to enjoy your tour select some good hotel .

I recently stayed and had an exceptional at the reception. Their assistance made my stay truly memorable...... The hotel itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with great amenities and a convenient location. I highly recommend this ....

I visited the Clafouti Beach Resort with my family in Nov 2023. We had booked a DELUXE VILLA ROOM. It was clean, well maintained and sufficient for our family. We got a clear view of the sea from the top of north cliff just outside our hotel (no sea view from room). The location is very beautiful and the staff was courteous. Special mention about the restaurant, we were very well taken care of and the food was amazing & very delicious. In spite of so many options nearby we ended up eating in our resort restaurant most of the time. All the major hotspots are close by. This is located in north cliff and black sand beach and the temple are walkable from this resort. Since its on hilltop, access to the beach was quite tough. We had to walk down steep stairs to get to the beach. Complimentary breakfast could have been provided. Food was reasonably priced. I would definitely visit again.

We booked Royal Villa Deluxe for 2 nights and 3 days, the room was pretty and decent but the staff and service was very bad, at first when we reach there the staff was unaware about the booking and took us to very cheap room as compared to what we booked. The receptionist doesn’t speak hindi or english so it was very frustrating. You have to pay for every second water bottle. staff is not at all friendly or polite. You can only book the room for the view. It is very close to the beach. The view from the room is also very pretty.

Centrally located on the North Cliff, staying at Clafouti will keep you at the heart of the buzz in Varkala. We were in the cottages which look beautiful from the outside, but were in definite need of TLC inside. Bad decor and tacky lighting made the room completely tasteless... a lost opportunity. Cleanliness and service quality were average. The staff at the reception were very helpful though. Do not opt for meals, as there are several fabulous cafes and restaurants around you.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Staff were friendly and professional. Location is excellent. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. It’s reasonable VFM. The restaurant does not look much from the outside, however the food is consistently excellent. Numerous travellers recommended it and once we tried it, we used it regularly. Fresh fish suppers, great breakfasts (particularly good Shakshuka). My criticism is that our rooms did not have WiFi - so we had to sit outside/go to restaurant to get online. There is a very good Yoga instructor next door, ***** with a decent ice cream shop! The walk to the beach is short, and there are loads of shops and restaurants nearby.

It's a been a nice experience. We opted for small rooms as per availability but they do provide villa type rooms which are pretty good. Family type resort. They had a magnificent cliff view by the beach multiple cafes around the corner. One can have a cool nytt lyff . U can capture beautiful pics and views . Must try their massage spa . Facial massage was very good . Must try the restaurant inside the resort , they serve tasty continental food. Must try Thai red curry and rice and also fried rice

The hotel is good in general. There is no tea/coffee maker inside the room. The hotel restaurant only opens at 8 am. So if you want tea/coffee earlier than that there are no options. There is less coordination between hotel staff. You have to repeat the same question/request multiple times before you get an answer. The sea was visible from our balcony. The hotel was close to the beach. Overall the stay is not bad
