The Snooty Fox

Really enjoyed our stay at the snooty fox. Lovely country pub & hotel. We had been given a voucher from buy a gift. Really nice dinner and breakfast. Could seem a little pricey for dinner but due to location and quality of ingredients used can see why the price is higher. Pros Lovely location Extremely dog friendly Super comfy beds Large TV with Netflix and other channels Bath with jets Lovely evening food and breakfast Lovely staff Cons Room quite warm and couldn’t seem to open the windows Rooms could do with updated Floor board a little noisy and creeky Overall very nice stay and love the fact it was dog friendly Would stay again and recommend Thank you

This review is for the lunch we had - cant comment on the hotel. Very busy lunchtime service but friendly, helpful staff and fabulous fish finger sandwiches! Nice cask beers on offer and the surroundings were comfortable and not over noisy despite all the tables being occupied

We had a voucher for Christmas, we found it very difficult to book a room without accepting an upgrade. Eventually we did get a room with no upgrade. On arrival we entered our room and the heating was not on, the room was cold. I asked at reception and was told the heating would come on at 5pm, 2 hrs time. When it did come on the room soon warned up. The room itself was small and the furniture was dated but it fitted a 16 century building. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, tea and coffee making facilities were in the room. Breakfast was ok on day 1, croissants, pain au chocolat, toast, cereals etc. I had a full English, which I thought was on the small side but my wife was more than happy with the meal size. We ate in the restaurant on evening of day 1 and we could not fault the food and service On day 2, continental breakfast was non existent, no croissants no Pain au chocolat, only toast or cereal. Again I had an English breakfast which I must say I enjoyed and was better than the day before. On the whole the staff at the hotel could not do enough for us except for the heating day 1. The hotel is well placed in Tetbury centre, unfortunately no car oar park but there are car parks nearby. All in all we enjoyed or stay and would return.

We came here for Sunday lunch. Very good food, very good quality. Slightly on the expensive side, but good is good quality. Friendly and attentive staff. Nicely decorated. Would recommend. Lots of choice on the menu caters for all. Very good Sunday lunch.

Our stay at this hotel could not be faulted. When we came to check in there was no one at the desk, but a member of staff who was on her day off but having drinks in the hotel (this says a lot, wanting to socialise at your work place) quickly stepped in and checked us in. The rooms were lovely, the food delicious, the atmosphere in the bar fantastic, the staff amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble and all the staff were super friendly. Would definitely recommend and will return.

A very warm welcome from the moment we arrived. Room was spotless and huge, we stayed in room 11 on the top floor. Staff were wonderful so cheery and genuinely happy to see you. We were there for a business trip and we had other colleagues also staying in this fantastic wee hotel. Everyone was raving about it. This will certainly be our place to stay next time we are up this way Thanks guys

Just back from a two night stay at this charming Hotel. Snooty it is most definitely not, one of the friendliest stays we have ever had. Angela (?) aka 'Claudia' 😁 is a fantastic duty manager and with her team really makes the stay a fun occasion. Yes some of the rooms don't look as prestige as a corporate hotel as has been mentioned but this is an old building and for us full of charm. Lovely food and a great breakfast. We will be back, TY to you all

Just returned from a night away at the snooty fox ! We really had a warm genuine welcome from all of the lovely staff and then the food … wow absolutely delicious yes the rooms are a little tired but couldn’t recommend this hotel enough on all the important stuff. Thank you and we will be back with the family 😊

Not our first visit to the Snooty Fox, but we hadn't been for a couple of years. And wow, it didn't disappoint! The newly furbished bar and restaurant areas are great. We meant to eat out at least once during our three days, but ended up staying in The Snooty - fantastic menu! Saw the fabulous team, Steve, Richard and Christos. No matter how busy, they always make time to say hi. Met a new member Angela, great fun. Told me where to shop, to my husband's great alarm!!! Such a lovely place to visit, friendly staff, comfortable settings and we loved our room. Very spacious with a great bed. Can't wait to go back.
