Taunton Central (North)

Thankfully 15 mins walk from Taunton station (no uber coverage and no taxis at station) was not difficult to find following phone navigation. Friendly staff from check in to restaurant to check out/ Tasty breakfast. Reasonably priced stay. Negatives: - small red wine/blood stain on bed sheet (hidden under pillow so not seen until morning) - curtains could benefit from being longer to block more light Negative out of their control - lack of taxi coverage. A couple in front of me tried to call using the taxi phone in reception and were told over an hour to wait. I walk to the hotel and back from it the next day

It's all about the staff! On a pre-Christmas stopover this trip to Premier Inn (always reliable) was made very special by the marvellous staff - shout out to Deb (Hotel Manager), Anita (Duty Manager) and Deanna (Housekeeper). They were very kind to someone with a desperate need for Diet Coke at odd hours and were a fabulous professional team, so welcoming and great fun. If they hadn't all been so dedicated to their jobs I'd have kidnapped them for a Christmas celebration......... My first ever tripadvisor review, that's how impressive they are! Big thankyou from me.

Another fantastic stay at the Taunton Central this is the first experience ive had of the new restaurant and its was brilliant from the service to the food! i had such a warm welcome as usual from check in to check out, the customer service i received was exceptional .The location is perfect an easy walk from the station and the cleanliness in the room and the comfy beds made for an exceptional nights sleep ! This is hands down my favourite Premier inn .

Fantastic smiley welcome on arrival by Leticia, my room was spotless and the new look glass mugs were a very nice touch much better than the old white ones. The hotel has a lovely social room where I had the fish and chips in the evening however it is a small area it was just what you needed for a nights stay and the lady who checked me in was also the one who greeted me in the evening and made sure i had eveything I needed. Breakfast was also very nice eveything cooked fresh Deb was very welcoming and friendly too just what you expect in the morning after a great nights sleep. I will definitely be back and highly recommend thankyou to all.

Lovely stay at Taunton and I'm so grateful to the staff here, especially Jo and Deanna for helping the drama of the storm not turn into a crisis. We were also able to eat in the cosy restaurant and didn't have to go out into the storm and had a good night's sleep in the cosy room. Many, many thanks.

Very poor. I would not recommend to anyone. The strong smell of mould made it very difficult to fall asleep. And it wasn’t just a one room situation. The same smell was also in my friend’s room, so that’s definitely something that the hotel is well aware of, but to shut down the hotel for full refurbishment it won’t be money wise. Better poor service and low ratings than no money at all. We also wanted to have dinner there, went in, it was just us at 7pm in the evening, which we found a bit dodgy. We sat at a table, checked the menus and then we understood why no one is there. Very limited choices. So we ended up eating dinner somewhere else in town. Breakfast was included, however we had to wait a while for bread and eggs to be back on for serving. Overall, very unsatisfied. I won’t recommend or ever gonna stay here before, as I don’t think it will be sorted too soon.
