We stayed for one overnight stay and found reception welcome, our bedroom and breakfast to be very good. Received complimentary bottle of water on arrival with offer of additional one if required. Very good buffet choice at breakfast followed by quality cooked choice.

Sunday dinner was outstanding It was so tasty, it dint look huge when it came however there was plenty. The beef was beautiful, the vegetables and roast potatoes was beautiful But your Yorkshire pudding was the star.... Service was great and friendly The artisan markets was on so you was very busy but I could not fault it one bit. I will 💯 % be coming back.... I loved how the staff was with the older customers, you just gave a friendly feeling and we felt very welcomed....

Living locally my wife and me thought we would call in for breakfast. She is a vegetarian. Ordered one vegetarian breakfast and one normal breakfast. The place was very quiet with only a few diners. We waited ages, then the waitress arrived to apologise. The Swan had runout of Vegetarian sausages. My wife was offered a hash brown instead. Meals arrived some time later. My sausage and bacon was under cooked, so the breakfast had to go back. No offer of any discount, plus they still put the service charge on the bill. Sorry, not good enough. Will not eat at The Swan in future.

It was our first time visiting here and it was absolutely lovely. Lovely decor, clean, tidy. Room was amazing. Food is lovely and staff are amazing. Our room was at the front of the hotel but we didn't mind traffic noise - it wasn't noisy overnight We shall be returning for another visit soon

Very nice food and great service. Has some of the best real ales around. Highly recommended for a drink, snack or full meal. Staff are helpful and friendly and make the experience very pleasant. Despite being busy we had no issues whatsoever.

Very welcoming when we went in to book a room for the night & we were offered a room 2 floors up ( no lift) of one outside building the latter we took ! It was a cottage feel & tea & coffee making facilities , crisps & a comfy bed & pillows & we had a great nights sleep though it was hot & only a small window pane to open for air ! The dinner we ate was amazing , all freshly cooked spatchcock of chicken with veg & frites really good ! The breakfast we ate in the morning was the Tarporlay , crispy butcher bacon, a fried egg, hash brown & beans … all delicious with a freshly brewed cafetière ! The bonus was sourdough for toast , our favourite… well done everyone & we loved the stirrup key ring ! Definitely stay & eat there again !

We were extremely pleased with our lunch meals and our waitress (Katie) was most attentive. There was a good choice of gluten free options available in the sandwich range, for which my wife had the fish fingers, although they were more like fish cod Gordon's.

Came for a drink on fathers day and it’s a nice pub with traditional decor but modern with lots of space and decent outdoor area. Had an issue when buying a soft drink. A half pint of lemonade with a “dash” of blackcurrant: £4.35. I questioned this with another member of staff after realising that this was extortionate for a soft drink and the waiter who I think was the manager said a half pint of lemonade with blackcurrant should be £3.25, but then when I told him how much I paid he said oh yes it’s £4.35. I am sure he was lying to cover up their mistake. Wouldn’t go back.

A warm and welcoming small hotel. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Any little issues are met with kindness and helpfulness and put right straight away. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Relaxed ambience and lovely decor. South facing courtyard for a drink before dinner.
