Das Hotel ist ein Thermalquellenhotel und die Einrichtungen, sei es ein großes Bad oder ein privates Bad, sind ebenfalls sehr gut. Es lohnt sich, Zeit im Hotel zu verbringen, um die Müdigkeit der Reise zu lindern. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Hotel bietet zu bestimmten Zeiten auch kostenlose Ramen, Eis, Kaffee und Tee an, damit sich die Gäste wie zu Hause fühlen. Die Unterkunftserfahrung war sehr gut. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten, wenn ich nach Gaoshan komme.

Les bains onsen (eau provenant de source volcanique) sont offerts en mode public ( pas essayé), privés extérieurs ou intérieurs, ou privés en chambre. Étant prudes et en famille, nous avons pris chambre avec bains privés et sur utilisés les bains privés extérieurs ( génial!). Bouffe hors du commun, avec soupers délicieux et petits- déjeuners déstabilisants japonais. Belle expérience!

Staff, especially those at the lounge are very nice and helpful. Free drinks every night. Don’t mind people bringing in their own fruit and food. Help us cutting fruit into pieces so that we could enjoy them happily. Comfortable zone on the first floor to chat with your friends. Also, Location is good, near the vintage street and the morning market. Clean and tidy. Delicious breakfast.

This place was unexpected. We wanted to be in the center of town and have Western beds and booking from afar was a bit difficult so we found this online and went for it. We arrived and found a sort of dated but comfortable hotel with lovely staff. It was a bit formal with lots of rules about set menus and what time breakfast would be served. But the instructions were in English and the manager/owner and all the help were very helpful.

We were lucky to stay at Mercure Takayami on their opening night. Everything about the hotel was above our expectations. Rooms were a very comfortable with attention to detail. Having USB and USB C charging ports for our electronics next to the bed was very convenient and meant we didn't need to search for our Japan power adaptors. This hotel has been well designed with a focus on local traditional carpentry and joinery skills. When you book this hotel make sure you book a room that includes access to the private Onsen. We had an open-air experience while we watched the snow from our private onsen. Breakfast had an extensive range of Tradition Hida dishes and Western choices, with different options available each day. This was a great way to try Hida Beef Curry and Hida chicken cooked on a traditional grill. Staff were very helpful going above and beyond with their dedicated and personal service, even searching the internet for me to find a store that sold Yama Cola. We will be back to stay again and will try to stay longer next time.
