Entire building inside needs repairs/cleaned. I was first checked into a room that was already occupied. Once that was cleared up I was moved to a room that neither bed had appropriate linen. No Duvet covers just an insert between 2 flat sheets, 2 towels for a 2 bed suite, mold in the caulk of the tub, cobwebs on the lamps, and the floor was sticky. But at this point we could not be bothered to move again so we stayed in the room and dealt with it. The one elevator in the hotel states only 4 people at a time, however the stats from the manufacturer state up to 3500LBs or 21 persons, so obviously the elevator is not fully functioning. Which we had the displeasure of experiencing firsthand on our second night there. My party and I were the first 4 on the elevator but 5 other followed on behind us the front desk who could see this did not say anything to the people and let the door close. At this point the elevator became stuck, and the door would not open. Let me also say there is 0 ventilation on the elevator, and it stays very hot. We rang the alarm, banged on the door and shouted while the front desk clerk on duty did nothing. We had to call her on someone’s cell phone before she even acknowledges we were stuck inside. She then proceeds to tell us through the door that she did not know how to open it and was calling her manager who was not on site. At this point we took matters into our own hands and called the local police non-emergency. 9 people were stuck on that elevator with no air on an almost 100 degree day for about 20 mins. Once we were let out not once did anyone express concern about anyone that had been stuck on the elevator, only said come here I need you to write down your name. NO clue why we had to do that seeing as how no one ever contacted us, no one said sorry. The state of this hotel and the lack of any employee who seemed to be able to manage the slightest thing (we asked for an extra pillow and were given one with no pillow cover as she said they did not have enough linen). I worked for Hilton hotels for 12 years and I know the correct way to deal with guests, and they are sorely lacking. This hotel does not deserve their franchise status, and it should be revoked.
