Although this is marketed as a legit motel, it is really just a “love motel,” a common thing in Korea. Basically you rent this place to bring a significant other (or someone you picked up at the bar) to do certain things you can’t do in public or at your parents house. When the staff spoke only Korean without even the slightest effort to say hi in English (or Chinese) I was worried this motel might not have been intended for tourists. Once I walked in the room, I knew I was duped.
The sheets definitely had a few stains on there, and I’m really thankfully not to have had access to a black light. There were tissue boxes everywhere, and the lighting was either everything in the room off, on full blast from every light source, or cheesy red neon love lighting. The room was also very cold and there was no remote in the room to turn on the heat.
I was so grossed out by it I slept in my clothes, wrapped up in the top blanket like a human burrito. Yes, the location was good and the room was fairly cheap, but it wasn’t worth it. Would not recommend this place at all.
