This wasn't our first choice of hotel, but having stayed there it will be our first choice next time. Lovely welcome from Zed, clean well furnished bedroom, small but fully equipped bathroom. Excellent breakfasts, both continental and cooked, with generous portions.

This hotel is simply outstanding.Jav and Zed are courteous, reliable and will accommodate any request you have.This is our family of 6 second stay here this time for 1 week.Breakfast outstanding for all diets Bed linen crisp and white, towels fluffy and white.Quiet hotel with ample safe parking on site.You can have many conversations with both Jav and Zed as they excellent skills both funny and serious but they always make the effort to engage in conversation with all clients.We have enormous respect for this Hotel and staff and will stay again next year.Why look elsewhere when you have everything here at the Lemonfield.Thank you Jav and Zed for everything

My husband and I spent a couple of nights here on a friend's recommendation. We had an upgrade to a superior room. The place was clean, the bed comfortable. Breakfast was extra, we paid for this and it was substantial. The lady in charge was friendly and helpful.

Had a one night stay at this great little hotel and can only echo what other guests have said, the lady owner was lovely and friendly, the room was clean, tidy and ideally located close to the sea front but very quiet and as for the breakfast it was worth every penny Thank you Craig

I’m always made very welcome and have returned year after year. Lemonfield is immaculately clean and my room had a lovely sea view. I love the fresh fruit salad at breakfast and the effort Sara goes to serve a good cooked breakfast with a smile, nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend Lemonfield Hotel to anyone staying in the Sunderland area, it’s a great hotel in a great location as there are good walks and restaurants nearby.

Very clean and presentable staff will do anything for you and they clean daily also close to restraints bars amusement beach also they give you tea coffee biscuits daily which are lovely very quiet and nice walk on the night very relaxing and calming best of the best

What a fantastic hotel this is. The family who run the hotel are so welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The location is excellent and just a few steps away from the gorgeous beach of Seaburn. I would definitely recommend, I can't wait to visit again. I will of course stay at the Lemonfield. Thank you for providing such a great service, it's very rare these days!

We have stayed at this excellent family-run hotel many times, the latest for 3 nights at the beginning of May. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean and tidy. Coffee and tea making facilities, with biscuits, are provided in the rooms. Breakfasts are good too. Ideal location on the sea front and is on a bus route to Sunderland city centre or to South Shields. Within easy walking distance (about 15-20 mins) to the Metro. Would recommend this hotel whole-heartedly.
