It is in an ideal place for trips to the local areas, but not in the centre of Stratford upon Avon.
The food could have been hotter for my palate, but acceptable. The staff were extremely friendly.
There were a couple of niggles with our room, which we informed the staff about - hopefully they take note.

16th Century building (road side inn).. Re-modernized, with rooms to let..
Very atmospheric pub and restaurant, esp for Christmas time.
Nice touches that bring out the features of the building, esp the the indoor water well.
Room are good, may need some further modernization but very functional.
Incredibly narrow corridors and stairwell. (can see traffic jams happening)

Recently visited The Blue Boar Inn with my partner and we had such a wonderful evening. The food was absolutely incredible, I had the Indian menu and my partner had the pub classic menu. We are big fans of onion bhajis and the bhajis we ordered did not disappoint. We ordered the steak burger which was tasty and filling, and also the butter chicken curry, which was packed with so much flavour (my partner liked it too, and he doesn't usually like butter chicken)! We ended our meal with a chocolate gateau and lemon tart, both absolutely divine. The staff were extremely welcoming and very attentive throughout our meal, and the pub itself is very pleasant.

This was a family celebration for a birthday- half the party had been before - it was our first time. The meal was fabulous, the service excellent and the atmosphere was great! We will definitely be back . We were welcomed straight away , drinks were served. All of the meals chosen were lovely. Although busy the service was good .

Visited The Blue Boar Inn while my partners family were staying there for the weekend. The restaurant is very busy so I would definitely recommend prebooking over weekends. All I can say is the staff, service and food were amazing. We all chose to have food from the Indian menu and it didn't disappoint! The only very small criticism would be the food came out very quickly so you didn't have much time in between courses. I'll happily drive the 45 minutes from where I live to eat here again!

A wonderful dining experience with three friends. We were greeted by friendly waiting staff who explained the menu for us and kept us 'watered' throughout. The food was delicious and we will be returning very soon to try the other menu options. Highly recommend 👌🏼

We had a wonderful meal here, the prawn starter was so tasty and the Seabass was the best I’ve had- delicious! Lovely warm atmosphere and staff were so attentive and friendly. Great evening meal with friends. We’ll definitely be back soon! ❤️

What a Beautiful country pub and restaurant, the food was so fresh and tasty, staff were so accommodating and very friendly. It’s a lovely setting and decor. Menu has a nice range of different dishes. Would recommend for a great meal. We will be booking again soon!

What can I say one of the nicest meals I have had in a long time. Staff and service e excellent. I had the prawns to start they were delicious, followed, by the duck which was so tender finished off with sticky toffee pudding. I highly recommend this place.
