Had a lovely weekend nice staff very welcoming will definitely be back again soon Rooms were nice and comfy and willing to help with everything

Totally disappointed , I choose this hotel as it has 3 stars but there are spiders in the rooms even they do not clean my room for 3 days . There is no dust bin inside the room even there is hot water not comes from the taps . At last I just wanna say people pls go for good hotel which gives you value for your money

Beautiful old hotel taff helpful at all times people complain about tea and coffee facilities you only have to ask and they are brought to your rooms also clean towels every day but you have to ask which is not a problem breakfast very nice for the money you pay it was excellent value thank you Talbot had a lovely time.

Went for lunch today, very disappointed, infact it was not good at all. We ordered two jacket potatoes one with tuna/mayo, one with beans/cheese, had to wait a while. They came in a dish nothing else, my friend's was not cooked properly, not much butter, did not look very appetising at all, very bland. The one with beans/cheese was ok but not much taste. On the menu it states with side salad garnish, no salad we had to ask for this which consisted of a couple bits of lettuce, the smallest slice of tomato and a piece of cucumber cut in half. Needless to say we will not be going here again, plus it was £8 for a glass of wine spritzer, no wonder there was nobody in. The only good thing was the waiter who was very polite and pleasant.

A decent budget hotel in a great location. Basic but clean. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Right on the high street in a fantastic location central for everything. It’s not the Savoy but for the price point it’s a little gem. Free parking too

Budget price, rooms not the cleanest and need renovation. Lots of dents and stains on the walls, carpet stained. Toilet seat broken. Tiles in shower stained and needs regrouting. Didn't eat here so can't comment on food.Have to ask for tea and coffee facilities but staff very helpful. Parking free for guests and right in the middle of town.

found this hotel great value for money ,staff were friendly and helpful ,room was clean and comfortable ,great town centre location , food was good really enjoyed the Sunday carvery which was great value for money overall was pleased with our stay and have booked again for next year

Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. £75 per night for a room that is lacklustre, poorly decorated with mould in the shower. The room was unbelievably hot despite it being a cool evening outside due to cheap building of the annex at the back of the property and zero ventilation. Windows broken so won’t stay open and full of condensation and mould. Dead bugs all around window sill. Had to move rooms as the first was a small double bed in a single room pushed up to the wall even though we were a couple staying. Holes in the wall, paint chipping off doors and dirty hand prints everywhere. Clearly the house keeping are doing their best to make it presentable but you can’t polish a turd. Poor sleep as they have evening entertainment in the form of a desperately low standard DJ. No coffee or water facilities in the room. Stay at the premier in. Shame as it’s a nice old building and really could be something fun and quirky stay if they actually invested- could even charge £30 more a night if they did.

Not much meat selection and no mash and only turkey and beef on carvery was expecting more option and as for dessert didn’t like any of them my boyfriend wanted ice cream I wanted chocolate fudge cake then was told u need too pay more for them then staff was very good either and long wait on some food I wudnt come here agen not worth the money xx beef was red put me off x
