Best Western Mystic Hotel

The hotel was very modern and clean and the workers were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and free breakfast. Checked in on a Friday for 2 days and it is the perfect location for visiting all that Mystic has to offer, would definitely stay there again.

The manager at this location was great! Very professional and knowledgeable! He made us feel right at home. Any questions or concerns we had was answered with a smile ! This hotel has had some recent updates and is looking great! We will definitely be back!

After renovations that brought it from a lower-tier Choice property to one of the better Quality Inns in the chain, this hotel has moved into my list of local favorites. The rooms have been completely renovated, with new mattresses and luxury vinyl plank flooring (no more stained carpets!). The breakfast room didn't have quite the variety it once did, but is adequate. Front desk and housekeeping personnel were all friendly and did a great job.

I would never stay in this hotel if it were the last one available. The room we stayed in had black mold all on the walls, the odor in the room was a moldy smell. The rug was so stained and the pool was so green and foggy. Absolutely disgusting. I tried contacting the hotel 2x via phone but they never returned my call. I had to report to the BBB. The hotel finally responded to them but lied and said I refused to move to a different room which I was never offered and claim the black on the walls was not mold.

If you are looking to find a hotel in Mystic, CT DO NOT STAY HERE we found 2 mice in our room the first night. My boyfriend booked this hotel through *********** and then Quality inn charged him after he paid through ***********. We found out the night we got back home. He has now been on the phone trying to get a refund from the second charge and the Quality inn/ Booking has been super dismissive not wanting to give back the refund even AFTER finding mice. Save yourself the headache and do not stay here!!! This has been a truly disgusting experience!

We stayed here for two nights and after comparing what other hotels charge, this could be the best value in Mystic. The room rates are considerably lower than other accomodations in the area which tend to be pricey. Yes, it's an older hotel and needs updating. Not the newest or classiest hotel in Mystic, but still a very good one. The wallpaper needs attention and carpeting in the lobby area has seen better days, But our room and all the public areas are clean and well-maintained. The hotel has a friendly, accomodating staff that answered our questions about nearby restaurants and gave us directions to attractons we wanted to visit, offers a very good breakfast in a spacious dining area, has a gymnasium with good equipment and a nice outdoor pool. Speaking of breakfast, in our opinion it's very satisfying - juices, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, muffins, cereals, and a waffle maker. Check in and check out were fast and easy. The location is good, close to the Mystic Seaport Museum and the Mystic Aquarium.

This is an ok motel. Not the brightest, not the cleanest it is what one would expect from a Quality Inn. The wallpaper was coming off the wall and the bathroom seemed clean but it just had an ick factor for me. There were stains on the rug. All in all if you could find no where else to stay its ok but there are nicer places to stay in Mystic.

I was concerned when I saw the 2.8 rating on *********** but I try to never let reviews deter me because I’m not super picky. The room was very spacious, my husband and I were quite surprised at how large it was. There was a fridge and a microwave which was nice and a couch, desk, ad a coffee table. My husband and I also appreciated two large mirrors instead of just one. Bed was comfortable, pillows were not great but we brought our own so it wasn’t even an issue for us. I’d recommend doing the same. Bathroom was large and clean. The hairdryer though is outdated and it took forever to dry my hair, not a huge deal though. I just recommend bringing your own. The water stayed hot and never went cold on either of use and water pressure was average for a hotel. In the shower was the only time I ever heard any outside noise.. just some banging around but it didn’t bother me. Staff was friendly and check in and out process was very quick. Price was great too. Yes it could use some improvements like wallpapers which is peeling in some places or new lamps but it was clean, comfy, and just want we needed for two nights. I would have stayed a week here. We would definitely stay again.

This my 100th consecutive day on the road. And this Quality Inn. In Old Mystic, Groton Ct. meet my day... It is just a wonderful Inn, along this costal seaport! I was able to get a reasonable price with all the amenities one can expect in a fine hotel. I extended my stay here. Not only because of the beautiful coastal sights and wonderful restaurants. But because of the connection I felt here! It was warm. With brightly lit lights. A full breakfast, that included the wonderful waffles we come to expect, along with eggs and breakfast meats. The room came with a reserve supply of tissue and toilet paper. Towels were fresh and new. Books are available in the lobby that are in tuned within my path. Parking was easy with multiple handicap spaces. The showers are warm, bright and clean. With ample pressure. ...Above most I've stayed along my way. I liked the fact that the mini fridge was close to my work space. This may says something about myself. :) . It was as stay of enlightenment! One that I needed to go back too. To realize and understand why I even began my journey at all! This perhaps may be my most lengthy review. But then again. It is near to my end of this travel, as I return home. Thank you all for allowing me the pleasure of returning home. With all the knowledge and experience- you have all bestowed upon me along my path!
