Comfortable spacious room and certainly cleab aswell plenty to do around the hotel and really friendly staff aswell.. Always enjoy staying here and know you get good food aswell and fantastic breakfast as well.Really clean rooms just need to have a clock in the main rooms.

A fantastic afternoon,evening stay and morning before our daughters wedding. Luxurious and very comfortable rooms, The roll top bath was amazing too!! Professional kind and very helpful staff throughout our stay. Thank you to all staff as you made our stay memorable before and on our families big day. We were so looking forward to staying at the hotel on our route doing The Cotswold Way. It was a bit off track but we were prepared to walk the extra couple of miles to get the experience here. It’s a grand place though the deco could do with updating. The grounds are lovely, the nearby church is impressive. Our room was ok, clean enough, hotel is a bit quirky to get around. We were dining with friends and looking forward to this. There didn’t seem much choice for non meat eaters on the menu. Took ages to get served, and then 2of the 4 starters came, a fair wait before one of the waiters spotted part of our order was missing and quickly brought the rest out. There was a long wait between starters and mains. Staff clearly seemed to be struggling that evening, it was a weekday and seemed fairly busy. I had asked whether I could have fries instead of the potato croquets as these were wrapped with bacon and I didn’t eat meat. The waiter agreed, however I subsequently noticed I had got charged for the fries separately when I had asked to have instead of. The meal was at best average. However the continental breakfast was nice and had a good selection. Staff were attentive and polite. We came away thinking the place is overrated.

We had Sunday lunch here and it was very average. There was only beef on the menu, the potatoes were too large to be cooked properly and the Yorkshire pudding was too dry and crispy. Good amount of meat at additional vegetables, including cauliflower cheese. Would not go there again as other local places do better.

Having travelled to the area and stayed nearby specifically because of recommendations I’d had from a few friends. It was a rather underwhelming experience overall. The service was average and the waitresses were nice enough. Food and drink served promptly and was really quite nice, but this place is not good value for money at all. We ordered steaks from the menu and chose a large side, assuming (wrongly) that vegetables would be included. Our bill came to £130 for 2 steaks, 4 drinks and 2 deserts to take away which included a 10% service charge. This we did not like, please just pay your staff a decent wage where they don’t have to rely on this service charge and let your customers tip at their own discretion. As mentioned the service was fine…. But it was nothing to write home about. The food was nice but nothing special if I’m honest and I don’t know what all the fuss is about. My husband said the Biscoff Banoffee Pie was lovely, but my New York Cheesecake was awful and dry.

We booked the hotel months ago for a 70th birthday party last week. The staff were helpful on the phone when making the booking, with clear follow up correspondence via email. Upon arrival, we every need was catered for. Extra towel required? It appeared in the room ten minutes later. Birthday cake to be brought out by kitchen staff? Hey presto, it arrived at the perfect moment with a box of matches. The room was a 9.5/10. The window panes could have done with a lick of paint but as the building is over 400 years old it wasn’t a problem. The food was more like an 8.5. Nice to very nice but not the absolute best I’ve ever had. The service from the staff was 10/10, couldn’t be faulted. Thank you for making my parents very happy. I’d love so come back again.

We stayed at The Stonehouse Court Hotel with our extended family for a few days, as it was local to our wedding venue. We hosted a brunch and it was great to have a space to catch up with our guests on the morning after the wedding. We also booked a private dining room for our direct family to have dinner that evening. The team kindly upgraded us to their biggest suite as a wedding gift. Thanks for a great stay!
