Absolutely awful. The dining area was filthy and there was a hair in my food. The staff was unfriendly and you would think the management would be pleasant and they are no where near. They treat their employees and customers awful. They put on a front that they are the best of the best when they are no where near it. Someone needs to inform the owners of what is really going on at this place because there is definitely a reason not many people come back. And probably even more of a reason that when I come back there is always a new staff…. must be a reason why no one ever stays. Someone please let the owners know before this place goes into shambles.

I'm very sad to leave a bad review as we have stayed at the Reeds before and had a very nice time. We even brought friends this time and would actually like to stay there again. The issue wasn't with the hotel itself, but managements handling of an issue and their persistence in IGNORING us. All they needed to do was contact us and maybe give us a fruit basket or a bottle of wine or something simple and I wouldn't be leaving this review. Our stay overall this time was very nice too, but it's completely clouded by the poor management and their lack of desire to keep their own word. When the incident happened the front desk person immediately informed us that we would be compensated in some way. They did offer to move us, but our friends were coming the next day and were appointed the room right next to us and we didn't want to repack. Not to mention the "problems" checked out that day so there was no need to move. The "problems" were a large group of unsupervised children being very loud and knocking on doors until 1;30am. I don't blame the Reeds for the noise, but they should have contacted the parents. I'm sure they had their phone numbers. I guess since we didn't want to move their offer of compensation was negated. I hope they will read this review and learn not to ignore guests.

The hotel has a great location overlooking the bay and a variety of room options, including a suite with a balcony overlooking the bay, a king room facing the bay, a room with a balcony that has a town view. Your room includes complimentary valet parking and shuttle service to the beach where staff set up your chair and umbrella and provide towels and bottle water. The staff is warm and friendly and very helpful. We will be back

Too much $$ for drinks…3 shrimp over $20??? You raised your prices and we went EVERY Sunday!! Also, no more Rayburn Chardonnay??! Why are you doing this to us! What are your winter plans when the town is empty? You need a better plan because I am NOT the only regular who is disappointed!

Very nice hotel on the outside, we felt like we were staying in a Pottery Barn store, everything smelled good including the public spaces but service is extremely lacking. The front staff employees are not friendly and welcoming. None of them told us what the hotel offers. We just found everything ourselves after asking different times. The staff appear very young so are very inexperienced in customer service. They do not offer a smile when first greeted and they are quick tongued, defensive even, and are poor in actual service. There is no way that they will go out of their way or take the extra mile by anyone in this hotel to serve. They held our bags when we arrived early and when our room was ready, we were told that it will be delivered after offering the ticket to collect them, but the bags were never delivered when we got to the room so we called them to let them know that. Long story short, being in the spa building we had go outside, cross the street to collect the bags when they never had anyone deliver the bags after asking and waiting for at least 30 minutes in our room. No complimentary razor kits or toothbrush so do not bother to ask for them if you forget. Please do not expect the level of service one would have in a normal world where you pay $500+ per night. The only good service level experience that I can think of is the valet parking included in the room. We appreciate the fact that our EV vehicle is getting charged as we stayed in the hotel and to this, only to this, we thank you.

A very nice hotel but VERY OVERPRICED! Stone Harbor only has a few hotels, and all seem to be very expensive. The hotel is very clean, the staff are polite and professional. The Reeds is not a huge hotel by most standards, and is in the heart of downtown Stone Harbor. The rear deck area overlooks a lagoon, where the wedding service and follow-on reception was held. Both were extremely well-done by Reeds staff! Great hors d'oeuvres, a very competent bar staff, and the accompanying dinner was superb. Valet service upon arriving and departing was excellent. Although the wedding dinner was very good, friends who had breakfast in one of the restaurants did not give a good review. We had breakfast elsewhere. An annoying aspect upon checkin was that the Reeds added a $200 "contingency" charge to our credit card, just in case we used or damaged something during our stay. It did not clear until 5 days after checkout! Annoying!!!

Can the general manager please call me back? This is ridiculous. I'd much rather have resolved our issue than feel compelled to leave the below review. We couldn't stay due to a room flood and the communication has been impossible. We booked our room in JANUARY for a June stay and they called us the day of our arrival with news that our room had flooded and apparently they couldn't accommodate us in another room. They booked us at another hotel, which was nice of them to do, but required us to move rooms between the first and second night. They specifically said they'd "taken care of" arrangements for us elsewhere, and did not clarify when I specifically texted and thanked them for "covering" the new room that apparently they still expected US to pay for the new accommodations. If we knew we were going to have to pay for any of the cost of this inconvenience and at a hotel that was not as nice and not within walking distance from our, we would have handled things differently. I was particularly disappointed given I am 6 months pregnant and have a 4 year old, making travel difficult as it is -- so the added layers of complication on what was supposed to be a long-planned relaxing beach weekend within walking distance of ours friends' house made this all very disappointing. The hotel should own up to this and reimburse us entirely for all costs associated with the weekend. I've tried numerous times to talk to them about this to no avail. I've literally never written a negative Trip Advisor review before, but I cannot in good faith let others book this hotel without noting how impossible the management is, and, perhaps even more importantly, how you risk your room being cancelled that day.

We stayed at the Reeds for a few days in May to celebrate my husband's birthday. We have stayed at this hotel in the past. This year definitely was different. First I would like to thank Kiana, Diane and James for their professional services. If you have a problem while staying at the hotel you should contact Diane or Kiana. Both Diane and Kiana were so very kind and compassionate with our issues. We were suppose to hear from the Manager however, we never did. Our hotel room was always clean. The cleaning staff is amazing and cannot do enough for you. The Salt Water Grill was under construction. The bar was closed and there were just a few tables on the patio for service. This was disappointing. Had I known before I would have made other arrangements for a birthday celebration dinner. The bad - well it started at check in. After I checked into the hotel I walked away for a few seconds and I went back to ask the same person if someone was going to take our bags to our room and she looked at me puzzled and asked if we were checking in or checking out. What? Also the hotel lacked communication. While they have complimentary shuttle service to and from the beach, they failed to contact James several times before we finally got someone to radio him. It took over an hour to get a ride back to the Spa. This was in no way any fault of James. He could not apologize enough for not getting the message. This made us late for our Spa appointment. I asked if we can come back in the morning to use the steam and salt rooms and they told me no sorry we are booked solid. Really! First thing in the morning? For what we paid for a couples massage they should have allowed us to enjoy the facility. The lateness was not our fault and we were told, don't worry about it you will have time. My massage was the worst i ever experience. The massage therapists were rushed and wanted to leave since we were the last clients. However, while rushing through my massage my therapist failed to remember that I told her to stay away from my knees. Unfortunately she did not remember and two weeks plus later i am still in extreme pain. The therapist also pulled my legs apart very quickly and I was caught off guard. I'm not sure why she even did that. We also completed surveys from the hotel and spa however, no one has yet to reach out to us. Also, make sure you are not doubled billed. Please review your final bill at check out. I'm not sure why a high end hotel such as the Reeds did not have toner in the printer upon our departure. We were advised that a new Management team was hired. Hoping that they listen to guests. There was definitely a noticeable change from our last visit. In the past The Reeds was such a nice place to visit hoping things will get better in the future.

We had a gift card for $500 and called to ask if we can apply it to a stay here. We spoke to a manager who said "NO" because this hotel is considered a sister hotel to the one in New Hope. Really? then don't use the term sister hotel as a perk to your hotel when its clearly not. Won't be ever using this hotel when there are so many other more reputable places to stay.
