24 South (ehemals Stonewall Jackson) ist ein hübsches altes Hotel an einem perfekten Ort, um Staunton zu genießen. Beim Einchecken wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass der Frühstücksbereich aufgrund von Covid geschlossen ist, dass sie aufgrund von Covid keine Zimmer betreten, der Whirlpool aufgrund von Covid geschlossen ist usw., aber das Personal an der Rezeption und andere Mitarbeiter sind 100? % demaskiert. Das Zimmer war ordentlich, aber langweilig. Das untere Laken war nicht angebracht, sondern ein flaches Laken, und es wurde mitten in der Nacht ausgezogen und ließ uns auf Teilen der bloßen Matratze schlafen. Das Frühstück zum Mitnehmen war verpacktes Gebäck und Muffins, eiskalte Bananen und Äpfel und Joghurt. Sehr minimaler Aufwand. Eine weitere Enttäuschung war der Pool. Wir zogen uns alle an und gingen schwimmen. Wir kamen dort an und es gab eine große Familie, die eine Pizzaparty im Poolbereich veranstaltete, während ihre Kinder den Fitnessraum übernahmen. Wir haben den Pool mit unseren Zehen getestet und festgestellt, dass die Temperatur kalt ist. Es ist ein unterirdischer Innenpool mit einem angeschlossenen Whirlpool (der wegen Covid verboten ist). Sicherlich kann es beheizt werden, aber sie haben sich dagegen entschieden. Es scheint, als würden sie sich sehr wenig Mühe geben, um es zu einer angenehmen Erfahrung zu machen.
