Comrade Inn

It was our 1st time travel-ling to kashmir. Being completely unfamiliar of the place and skeptical reading all the reviews on hotels, mostly mixed, we were not sure if we were going to end up finding a good hotel for us, when we found this hotel. The staffs were extremely courteous and hospitable. We had small issue with our room on the 1st day however after learning what went wrong, they had tried everything resolving to the issue. The hotel is located at a residential area that is about 1 km from the dal lake ( i just took a walk to the lake on the 1st day of our stay to srinagar. They serve buffet in breakfast and dinner. The food in the hotel is amazingly delicious. Um-er (front desk) and wasim and asif @ at the hotel's restaurant led their team to look after all requirements and made our stay wonderful and a memorable one. Its a must stay hotel in srinagar to experience the hospitality of these amazing individuals at the hotel.

Seeing that i paid almost rs 4. 5k per night, the location of the hotel is excellent. But the rooms are extremely disappointing. I don’t know if it was just my room or all others are like this, but they are dated. The carpet has not been changed or cleaned in ages- i did not step foot on it without shoes. The sheets were relatively but old and worn. The towels were dirty and old. The sofa and stools were unclean and unusable. The washroom was only slightly better off. I was there for a business trip so wasn’t there for most of the day, but i certainly didn’t look forward to coming back.

I stayed here in July with my parents. My stay was for 8 days on MAP basis. The staff is not trained in hospitality, they make customers to speak with janitors whom they call floor managers, as there is no housekeeping manager. Housekeeping is extremely poor. They are helpful but not trained well. My experience was that the staff is very demotivated and not well paid. The cleanliness is the most compromised in the property. They gave me a newly renovated room, for which I am thankful to Mr Ejaz. But the overall experience is lacking as the corridors are dark and dingy, restaurant is not cleaned properly. Initially they prepared food that was not fresh. We had to return it and asked them to prepare fresh food. They have very limited menu, but food was overall hygienic. South Indian food was always uncooked, hence more training will help here. Given the price, it was compromised. I will not recommend this hotel for a long stay , 2-3 days is good , but not more than that. Staff should be polite, cleanliness should be improved, food and restaurant should be clean and more options on the menu should be there.

I stayed at the hotel with my family on my trip to Kashmir. The property was centrally located with all important visiting points easily accessible from the hotel. The Reception of the hotel handled all our tasks very efficiently and smoothly. The interior of the hotel was excellent and very attractive. The room was very spacious and comfortable with all necessary things made available to us. The service and housekeeping was also extremely satisfactory with a very professional approach. Overall, our stay was extremely comfortable and we truly enjoyed it. 💕👍😊

Highly aesthetic prime location, cooperative staff and good services. Rooms are bigger and hygienic.

Location is good but amenities less no hand towel ac working on time room clean is not good food preparation is good

The room was good, average service. Locaton was ok. Double deluxe room was ok quite spacious. Recommended for business travel

Rooms shown in pic is far different if comes to comfort and hygiene - its 3 star property in heart of srinagar but the prices is at par and can stay in other hotels that will be my next visit/choice

Location of the hotel is good. We booked this hotel from make my trip. It was clearly mentioned that complimentary late check out is avaialable. We checked in late in the night after having a site seen. Upon requesting late checkout , we were denied even though rooms were avaialable. Front desk staff was rude. Hotel manager was too nice. He handled our special request nicely and went out of the box to prepare food for us.
