Tamworth Budget Motel

I've stayed here a couple of times - and certainly will again. Best accommodation I've found in Tamworth, and definitely the cleanest. Highly recommended. Water pressure is great and solar system results in fabulous hot showers!

Absolutely no complaints. Our room was clean, warm, shower hot and strong. The beds were very comfortable. The usual coffee making facilities and a microwave. It is one of the original style of Motels but I find them novel as I grew up with them. It is very well maintained. Howard is doing a good job. We will return. Thank you.

I have stayed at this motel a number of times and have been quiet satisfied until recently whereby I made a booking for two nights via Bookings.com My booking was confirmed via Bookings.com 1 day prior to arrival at the motel. The motel later attempted to contact me via email & mobile phone but I was not in a service area at the time. When I returned to a service area I received the messages from the motel. The motel only wanted to confirm my time of arrival. If I was to arrive after 11pm they wanted my credit card detail .... I was ok with that. I did not intend arriving that late. I called the Motel at approx 11:30am the morning of the booking and was told since I did not respond that they let my room go. When I explained that I was not in a position to receive messages prior to my phone call, they just said it was their policy to 'let the room go' if they don't receive a response. When I advised I had a confirmation from Bookings.com they didn't care. They advised I look for an alternate Motel. Fortunately I did get another Motel (359 in Tamworth) and I do recommend them. They were sympathetic and helpful when I told them the background. I find it totally unacceptable by Budget Motel Tamworth to do what they did. In my opinion they should not be on the Bookings.com platform. I will be making an official complaint to Bookings.com (if I can get a msg to them, but that is another story!) I stay semi frequently in Tamworth but I will never stay with this Motel again!

Good shower & comfy bed. Exhaust fan,ceiling corners & walls in bathroom very dirty.Open drain plug in sink-no plug. Main room walls dirty Jug had to be taken off base to make it stop boiling. Bedside lamp very dusty. Room smelt very strange.
