Travelodge Huntingdon Fenstanton

We stayed here on a Sunday night for £25. The hotel was a little hard to find (just look for the Shell fuel station and it is just behind it). There were plenty of parking spaces available in the car park which was quite dark. Checkin was friendly and efficient and the room was what you would expect ie a bath and a goo9d shower over it and a comfortable bed. Not the location for a romantic break!! but a great value hotel for a quick overnight stay to break up a long journey.

Room was very dirty! Dust everywhere stains up the walls. Bathroom floor black. Not had a good clean.

Dirty sheets unchanged for new guest!!! I stayed for one night. The sheet was filthy, body hair and even a big fingernail. The room was made up like it was ready but, Somebody simply was not doing their job. It’s also tired and tatty. The mattress was old and worn too. Won’t stay here again

Im aware this isn’t exactly a five star luxury hotel but what I was not expecting when I settled down for the night was to spot a cockroach running around the perimeter of the room, and to watch my partner wrestle it into a mug and throw it out the window (the subsequent panic means we didn’t get a photo). We had to stay the night regardless as we didn’t have anywhere else to go and honestly the beds were comfy and the staff were sweet, and if we hadn’t had the run in with the bug I'd’ve given a higher review - but I just can’t do that considering it was literally a cockroach

Upon arrival, despite providing my booking details, proof of payment, and a confirmation email, the hotel staff was unable to locate my reservation. The staff member on duty refused to assist me further and denied me access to my room, despite my efforts to provide all necessary documentation. This was extremely distressing, especially considering that I had traveled a long distance from Newcastle to Huntingdon, arriving at 10 PM, and was ready to check in after a tiring journey. Rather than offering any assistance, the staff member merely handed me a number to call, which I later discovered was for your booking team. I requested that he make the call on my behalf, but he insisted it had to be done by me. When I contacted the booking team, I found that their office was closed, a fact that the staff member could have informed me of beforehand. To make matters worse, I was charged for the call, making matters worse for me

Very grateful to this Travelodge being open late, manned, clean and available last minute when we were in desperate need. Booked at 1130pm on a Monday night. Arrived 12 midnight and went straight to bed. There was no breakfast facilities on site, but I understand breakfast can be ordered in advanced and picked up to take away. Or you can pop to the nearby Shell for Costa coffee, porridge, pain au chocolate or sausage roll. It was amazing all in all. If you have an electric car (we didn’t) there is fast new charging next door.
