Ein grosser Garten mit klarem, blauen Pool. Immer wieder fallen Blätter von den Bäumen, die schnell wieder rausgefsicht werden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Hotel blüht mit diesen Leuten richtig auf. Man ist gerne hier. In der Küche gehen sie auf Wünsche ein und bereiten sehr gutes Essen zu. Wenn man die Augen offen hat kann man die beiden Chamäleon sehen, die immer wieder die Farbe wechseln.

Ein kleines intimes Paradies mit besonderen Charme durch die smarten Mitarbeiter. Scheinbar noch ein Geheimtip, da nicht überlaufen. Die Anlage ist wirklich überschaubar und bietet für die Touren in der Umgebung eine optimale Ausgangslage. Wir lieben es und werden wieder kommen. Der Garten ist gepflegt und der Pool ausreichend und schön gestaltet. Der Service ist prompt und rund um die Uhr. Das Menue bedient jeden Geschmack und auf individuelle Wünsche geht man ein. Wir waren zeitgleich hier mit zwei Paaren ohne Kindern, einem mit Baby und ich mit meinen Kindern. Das Miteinander ist harmonisch gewesen.

Ein kleines Paradies am Rand von Sigiriya! Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht in Sigiriya. Aber wir haben jede Minute im Il Frangipane genossen. Das Hotel liegt in einem wunderschönen Garten mit einem tollen Pool, wo man wunderbar entspannen kann. Unser Familienzimmer war riesig mit 2 großen Bette und einem schönen Bad. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war nett und die Organisation eines Fahrers zum fairen Preis sehr gut. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Stayed for 3 nights, Fantastic small hotel hidden off the main road, 6 very good spacious well designed & decorated sized rooms and bathrooms. The pool and hotel is surrounded with lush gardens, a very peaceful place to relax around the pool or on your own private terrace area after visiting the local sites. It was also a very quiet place during the nighttime, no disturb sleep. The guys who run il frangipane are very friendly and very helpful, always available and happy to chat, a great team. Breakfast was a choice of eggs, toast, fruits, hoppers or dosa , more than enough to choose from. Would definitely recommend a stay

From before we arrived Raveen was helpful and responsive. He and his team have created a little haven with exceptional service. Rooms are large and comfortable with a very effective AC, breakfast was lovely and the staff always had time for a chat or tips. The pool is lovely, clean and very welcome after the heat! Very close to the Sigiriya entrance which also makes it convenient. As we travelled around the country, I strongly recommended Il Frangipane to all the other travellers we met!

Amazing stay. Perfect location right next to great restaurants. Walking distance to Lion Rock. The hotel gardens are so well looked after and it feels like a tropical paradise. Very nice pool which is surrounded by the gardens. The daily breakfast is very generous, including pancakes, toast, eggs, fruit, juice and tea, as well as authentic Sri Lankan options such as string hoppers and coconut sambol. The rooms themselves are spacious and well looked after. Hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating, there was nothing they couldn't do for us, whether it be giving advice, booking taxis or organising tours. Highly recommend!!

Gorgeous pool surrounded by greenery. Lovely, spacious rooms. Relaxing covered outdoor dining and tasty food (dinner available but book in advance). Close to the rock and other shops and cafes. Reasonable wifi. Chalkboard a big hit with our 4 yr old. Highly recommended.

Family of 3 adults and 3 children stayed 3 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, its swimming pool and the staff who were great. Meals were excellent. Rooms were large but rather sparse. Hopefully they'll add a table and chairs - there's plenty of room - because there isn't any other indoor space for the dawn and dusk mosquito challenge (for westerners like us.) There's plenty to see and do around Sigiriya and tuk tuks could take you most places if you don't have a driver. We had a wonderful experience with a local community with a bullock cart ride, boat ride, cooking demonstration, wonderful lunch and tuk tuk rides home. The children (9, 7 and 2) thoroughly enjoyed it, and there was plenty for the adults to learn and experience.
