Hotel Il Giardino

De locatie is geweldig met een prachtige view. Ontbijt was ook erg fijn. Hotel is op sommige zaken wat gedateerd.

Honestly the perfect place to stay when visiting Siena. Pool was large and clean with plenty of sun beds, perfect way to spend the day before walking the 10 minutes to the entrance to the city in the afternoon/ evenings. So much better to stay slightly out of town, quieter and cooler. I saw some reviews stating once the breakfast food was taken they don’t replenish, but that wasn’t the case, we went at various times and they were always refilling, see pictures. The staff were lovely and accommodating. We had issues because we were driving in a no drive zone in the center of town by mistake. They sent a note to the parking police to prevent our getting a ticket. This BNB has a garden where you can eat breakfast with a lovely view of Siena yet it is close to the Piazza Del Campo. Spotlessly, clean, and great value for the money!

Hotel with car parking just out side the city walls. 20 mins walk to the Campo. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. View from the breakfast room to die for over the city. Rooms very pleasant. Garden/ patio areas to sit out in, near the bar. Shaded areas available. Pool being prepared for the summer season, but could sit out on loungers.

Our second time at the Hotel Il Giardino, the first planning our wedding and this time was the night before we went to our wedding venue in August 2022. We booked direct - highly recommend. Free onsite parking too which helps! The hotel is in a fantastic location, less than 1km walk to the piazza del campo. Alice is an absolute diamond and couldn’t do enough for us, our family and friends. Even to the point of booking all our taxis to our wedding venue and welcoming us with a glass of Prosecco, she truly makes the hotel. While we did our civil ceremony at the town hall she made sure everything went smoothly for us and took care of all our belongings. We had a lovely modern room overlooking the pool and city. The pool area is amazing, Tuscany views and the city. Good gym area. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, typical Italian style and very good coffee. The hotel has had renovations in the bathrooms since we last visited which made a huge improvement. We can’t wait to come back, it’s a special place to us now 🥰

We liked · Good location just outside city wall with parking & excellent views of Siena. Comfortable bed, clean, quiet room. Pool was a bonus. Breakfast was adequate with good coffee and tea. Ricardo was very informative. Not so good · Judging from low level mould in shower and some floor tiles, our room (16) obviously had a long standing issue with water not draining from shower, which resulted in unpleasant showers on first night. It was partially resolved for second night but needs permanent fix. A lot of pool equipment left around the pool all the time, spoils good view. Quite a few dirty ashtrays outside. Go earlier for better choice at breakfast. Slow, inefficient toaster for so many people.

We stayed here for one night. Having previously stayed in a hotel with no air conditioning, I was over joyed at how good the air con was in my room. The room was basic and a little tired but was clean and had everything I needed. The pool area is well looked after and the pool is a great size. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. They allowed us to use the pool after checking out without any additional charges. The location of this hotel is everything. The view is gorgeous and it’s a short walk to the centre. I recommend this hotel and hope to be back one day.

Two weeks ago, we stayed at this hotel. Initially, we booked two nights. When we booked, we specifically booked a refurbished room. The other rooms were very outdated. When we arrived, the owner gave us an 'upgrade'. Ofcourse, we ended up in one of the rooms that wasn't refurbished. We asked why, but she kept saying it was an upgrade because of the new air-conditioning. We didn't see this as an upgrade, but there was nothing to do about it. We decided to just accept it, but when we inspected the room further, it got worse. The bed was like sleeping on the floor, the bathroom was old, and the shower was full of mold. We had no choice to stay that night because it was already evening. The next morning, we went and complained, but she got very defensive. We told her we were leaving because of the old room and the mold. She knew about the mold in the bathroom, but she didn't care. Not even an apology. She kept talking over us, and even said she was glad we left. I get that it's hard to receive critique, but you are working in a service business. I would be ashamed if someone came to tell me there was mold in the bathroom. Overall experience was an old, outdated hotel that doesn't deliver what is promised on the website. If you sell refurbished rooms (like its explicitly says on the website), give your costumers refurbished rooms.
