Just arrived back after a 10 day stay. When we first arrived we were really impressed with the entrance and lobby area, we checked in and was told that our room wasn't ready at 2030 at night so was "encouraged" to go the to restaurant for food while we waited. When the room was finally ready we were a little disappointed as we'd paid extra for a sea view room, we didn't get this as it appears there is no sea view rooms because there has been a number of new hotels built between the hotel and beach blocking any possible view. As an English couple we really struggled with the food provided as it appears that they cater more for the Eastern European, breakfast is exactly the same every morning with limited selections. There's 2 pools to the hotel, the smaller one is heated the larger one not. During our 10 day stay no one went in the larger one as it was just too cold. Always plenty of sunbeds so no need to fight for one in the morning. Didn't see much of the animation team during the day, no pool activities or games. The rooms are adequate enough just dated, we had our room cleaned and towels changed daily so no complaints with that. Had a massage done at the hotel spa which was really worth the money, it does get a little tiring that you get spoken to numerous times during the day by the spa reps but it's what you come to expect in this type of resort. There's a shuttle bus provided from the hotel down to the beach but it's really not that far to walk, we only visited once as the wind was quite bad during our stay so want allowed to enter the sea. This hotel is NOT ideal if you have any mobility issues as there's steps to most rooms and down to the restaurant and no lifts whatsoever. There's a chap that sells excursions at the hotel called Fadi, he's a really nice genuine bloke and speaks really good English, we did a boat trip, quad biking and the dolphin show through him which were all amazing and worth the money. Don't use the hotel taxi service as they cost you alot more, there's always taxis parked outside the hotel that you can haggle with. We downloaded an app called Indrive which is their version of uber. There's a small shop on site selling souvenirs and snacks, just a short walk away is a Safeway which has a bigger selection and is cheaper. We visited soho square which is beautiful, modern and has an English pub serving Sunday dinners, you can watch English football and play pool! We tried to visit Farsha Cafe but unless you get there at 1300/1400 you've got no chance of getting a seat. Naama bay is a short taxi ride away which has a good selection of restaurants and shops. Ivy Aqua resort is literally next door so you can use their pools and water slides but you cannot eat in their restaurants. Outside of the hotel there isn't really much to walk to, it seems like the area is under development so this may change of the coming years. The airport is really close so transfer time to the hotel is around 10 minutes, des
