Harrow Lodge Hotel

Excellent accommodation. The staff are friendly and pleasant. The room was very clean and tidy with everything provided. Very good value. The cooked breakfast was tasty, good quality food. I would highly recommend this hotel. to anyone.

A warm welcome from Gina. Room had all you needed but would have liked one a little larger but booked quite late. Very clean and comfy bed so slept well in this very quiet area. Great sea views too and we had lovely weather which always helps. Plenty of choice at Breakfast and took advantage of evening meals provided. Great choice and all very reasonably priced. Our food was deliciously hot and cooked to perfection. Everyone in the hotel, guests and staff created a great relaxing atmosphere and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Hotel to anyone. Thanks for a lovely stay, the pleasure was certainly ours. Warmest wishes for the future

Spent a couple of nights at this lovely hotel with my family. Rooms were small but were clean and had everything we needed, and you can't expect the Ritz for such reasonable prices! Breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. Staff friendly. Definitely recommended as somewhere pleasant, conveniently located and good value to stay in Shanklin.

My husband and I are well travelled and I say that to explain how I feel about this hotel. I have never been to such a friendly hotel with the most wonderful staff. They have made our stay perfect. It's a lovely location, the rooms are clean and tidy. Comfy bed and just wonderful hospitality. We will 100% return to this gem. Thank to Gina, Laura and Neil, you have made put trip perfect xx

I really thought/hoped hotels like this were things of the past. It's incredibly dated and in need of a huge refurbishment. Everything is very tired. The shower was dramatically underpowered,the furnishings dated, the carpets need ripping out. I think it's really only worth 2 stars, but I have given three because the staff were efficient and friendly and there was onside parking

Extremely musty room which made the room very unpleasant to be in, so had to keep window open, which made it noisy and not feel secure given we were on ground floor. Bed was very old - extremely saggy mattress which meant no sleep. Breakfast was just cheap ingredients and limited choice. Not a pleasant stay.

As UK mainlanders, my family was surprised by how few places were open on the Isle on a Sunday evening. Saw this was open, dog friendly gastro bar which was nearly full. Bar lady kindly accommodated us at a small table. Choice of burgers, lasagne, masala etc, plus Sunday roast on Sunday evening. Very reasonably priced place which is obviously popular with locals. The food was very tasty, and alcohol was reasonably priced. Could have easily stayed longer but we were tired and skipped dessert to head back to our hotel. Worth considering as a place to stay in future.

Great little hotel. Used it in the past and it was as good as ever. Rooms very clean with everything you need. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choices. Bar and relaxing areas really good and the daily specials on the menu were lovely. Most of all though the staff, in every area, were top drawer. Well done the Harrow Lodge.

Sweet little hotel, my room was clean, and adequate, although super tiny! My en suite shower room was so small that I had to open the shower door whilst on the loo (as no ‘leaning forward’ could happen otherwise!) My poor friend couldn’t even squeeze into hers as the doors didn’t open enough. We’re not tiny ladies, but equally not oversized either! The room itself was very clean and had enough, but the power points were the other side of the room from the bed, which is irritating to me. My mattress had definitely seen better days, I sat down and felt the bed base! Dogs barking through the night woke me a few times as well (I have my own dog, so it doesn’t bother me that they were there, just the barking!) I have to also mention the napkin I was given for a bath towel… I have hand towels at home the same size as my bath towel! The positives are: lovely staff, everywhere was spotlessly clean and it was reasonably priced, I also had a fan in my room, which was very welcome, but, as is the theme, was tiny! I’m afraid we wouldn’t stay again.
