Wir haben gerade eine Woche in Kombo als Familie von 4. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit - Victor und das Team machen eine tolle Arbeit, um sicherzustellen, dass Sie alles haben, was Sie für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt brauchen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr sauber - komfortable Bett und eine warme Dusche. Das Frühstück hat eine große Auswahl. Mittagessen und Abendessen bieten auch gute Wahl und die Mahlzeiten, die wir hatten, waren gut - keine Beschwerden überhaupt. Wir haben Kombo in den letzten 20 Jahren viele Male besucht und das neue Aussehen ist großartig - sie haben das Hotel wirklich von einem müdeten Aussehen zu einem lebendigen und frischen Hotel aufgehoben. Die Schleifen sind großartig Spaß und Sicherheit gut verwaltet. Wir werden für unsere nächste Pause zurück sein. Danke für das Kombo-Team

This was my first trip to The Gambia and it was literally a first trip whereby I tripped over, broke and cracked my two front teeth after falling flat on my face! After exiting the restroom located within the foyer. I tripped over a metal frame positioned at ground level. Not to the same degree as me, I know that other guests have had near experiences when leaving this restroom (see picture. I shudder to imagine what would have happened if this had been an elderly person or a parent with a baby. It is for several reasons that I would never recommend this hotel: A) No matter the nation, health and safety should always come first and be the priority in any hotel establishment. I cannot even begin to count the number of times I have heard someone say, ”Well, this is Africa.” No justification! After my experience, no precautions were made to ensure that other guests wouldn't have the same experience. In fact, the hotel manager wrote: ‘It is important to note that the hotel never have any reported incident from any guest, neither staff since the establishment of this resort in 2020’. The fact that I experienced it and reported it does not imply that no one else has ever tripped or had near miss experiences, even though you may not have had any reports. B) The general manager has some serious communication problems (once you manage to find him), such as a lack of empathy and an inability to listen to others. I am unable to be name him owing to legal concerns, but his middle name should be ”Avoidance.” C) Periods of no power occur frequently. This happened almost every night during our stay since their generator shuts down due to an overload of power and overheating. One evening, as my mother and I were getting ready for an event, we had to use our cell phone lights as a guide. Moreover, when this happens, there isn't any water available for a shower. Also, no functioning primary shower head, had to utilise the hose, whenever there was water available. D) One could not have a private moment since the bathroom door would not stay closed. Thank goodness my mum was with me. E) Someone managed to use their hotel room key to get into our room one night (mistakenly), the lock had to be changed. Yes, that did in fact occur! F) Though I wasn't expecting the Ritz, I would have expected it too at least be kept up, despite the attractive photographs on the website. This review is from a sincere individual. Though I don't usually post reviews, I felt compelled to write this review because I don't want anyone to experience what I did or am currently experiencing. I also regret that I was unable to shorten my stay. I am utterly disappointed because this was also my first trip to West Africa!

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand mit verschiedenen Pools zu genießen. Das Zimmer ist komfortabel und die Betten sind großartig. Schöne Terrasse und ein großes wechselndes Frühstück im Restaurant - das Personal ist alle freundlich und wir haben sogar eine späte Auscheckung aus unserem Zimmer, da unser Flug am Morgen scheiße Zeit war.

Wir hatten gerade wundervolle 11 Nächte hier Zimmer komfortabel und geräumig fantastische Dusche hatte ein Zimmer auf der Rückseite mit Blick auf die Bäume war anfangs etwas enttäuscht von der Aussicht, aber nicht lange die großartigsten Vögel, die ich je gesehen habe, und die Affen zweimal am Tag

There is nothing I did not love about this place. It started off with a room change to meet our needs, so whilst we waited for this to take place we tried the cocktails. The staff are impeccable and all go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible, all of them. Room cleaning staff, bar & restaurant staff, gardeners, pool attendants & life guards, reception, customer services, cooks, chefs and even management. The rooms are clean, bright and in good taste with the biggest and most comfortable bed. The pools.....ahhh. What can I say about the pools, there are thousands of them. From swim up pools to your room, a deep blue main pool and the lovely long pool alongside block 400's (where we stayed). Cleaned daily and kept in excellent and safe condition. You just wanna jump in, your just gotta jump in. The food was excellent too. Buffet breakfast with my own style pancakes to order (thank you Edward). Evening meals with very generous portions. Al la carte for the first few days then changed to buffet once the hotel became fuller. Topped off with a good dose of hotel entertainment and yes you guessed it more cocktails. A big shout goes out to Ibrahim who is the best bar Cocktail Maker in the World. He made us the best Long Island Ice Tea's & Pina Colada's you could ever wish for. Finally a big thank you to Yankuba who treated us like family from the very beginning and helped me out with a problem with ease and integrity even after I had returned home. We stayed at this resort as a group of nine, and very Apartments and the Nian Villa. The resort itself is a treasure. Its location is fantastic as it is very close the ***** and restaurants and bars. . The apartment suited couples and single travellers . The staff are friendly and welcoming although we felt the site manager was a little dismissive to some of our enquiries . We booked direct which saved us a little bit of money included free air-conditioning . The grounds are lovely in some areas, although some work is required around the Nian Villa . The Philip was a beautiful Hideaway, which suited a couple and two single travellers. It also accommodated the rest of our party when they came over for drinks et cetera . We all agree that we would definitely return
