Der Service im Restaurant ist als totalausfall zu bewerten. Es ist als Glück zu bezeichnen wenn man noch etwas zu trinken bestellen kann oder das Dessert gewählt werden darf. Die verantwortliche Person sitzt zwischen den Gästen am Tisch und lässt sich vom Personal bedienen. Selbst wenn man seinen Unmut zum Ausdruck bringt scheint es niemandem zu interessieren.

Exzellentes Hotel in traumhafter Lage und tollem Service. Hoteleigener Zugang zum Meer ermöglicht Schwimmen. Besonders morgens sehr angenehm mit tollen Farben. Dem Hotel angeschlossen sind die Aphrodite Thermalbäder, zu erreichen über einen Privatweg.

What a wonderful surprise this hotel turned out to be. We booked without much research and were thrilled with what we discovered. A really stylish chic friendly beautiful hotel in a fantastic position with views to die for! The chef is incredible! Daily buffet breakfasts more akin to a tasting menu, cocktails on the terrace mixed by Gennaro and the friendliest welcome from all the staff. Travelling around the San Angelo area in the buggies was another hair raising highlight! Can’t wait to go back.

We had booked a Suite Deluxe as described in the web page, with a separating door between living room and bedroom, a bath tube and 60m2. When we arrived to the hotel we found out that our room was occupied and had to wait two days to get it. Meanwhile we had to stay in a lower quality room. When we finally got the room we booked, the bathtub did not work, and could not use it. The hotel director was really unpleasant to us during the stay, and the hotel did not compensate us. Nor allowed us to write a complaint (did not have a complaint book). We sent and email and got no answer. It is a pity because the location and decoration is beautiful, cheating the guests is an awful practise.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks in September. The hotel is ideally located built into the rocks by the sea. The sea views from the hotel are beautiful. Our room was spacious and immaculate, cleaned every day to a high standard. The choice at breakfast is vast, there is nothing you could want for. The staff are all friendly and fantastic at their jobs. The hotel Miramare was everything we wanted. It is only a 6 minute walk to the sister hotel that provides the relaxing thermal pools. If you do not want to walk the hotel provides a golf buggy. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool and on the lower section by the sea. We ate both here and at the Miramare and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Ischia.

I am disappointed to say that our stay at The Miramare was not a good experience. To start, I will say the staff that greeted us were very welcoming and this was appreciated, but we found the resort lacking. The first night, we were woken by an intermittent mechanical humming noise. When we reported this to the front desk, it was agreed they would check it wasn't coming from the room next door. After half an hour we didn't get a call back and we could still hear the noise. We had to call the front desk back in order to be told there was no noise coming from the next door room. But, as we could still hear the noise, we asked for someone to come to our room to listen. The front desk person duly came to our room, and concluded the noise was coming from a generator from downstairs. But rather than automatically offering to find an alternative room, we had to ask to be moved. Which, we did and to the same level room we had booked. So this was the first issue we encountered. The second issue encountered was, that while the first and now our second rooms were listed as Junior Suites, the level of space and comfort, quality of decoration and finishing were not great and certainly not 5-Star!. The paintwork was marked and not clean, the furniture on the balcony of the second room were two very tired and worn upright deck chairs, with the varnish worn off the wood. The first room had two sun beds as wells as upright chairs, the second room did not. The light on one side of the bed had duct tape wrapped around the cord to fix this, and another feature light was without a bulb. Attention to details and quality is completely missing from the interior design and decor finishes. And thirdly, unfortunately, the pool area and the experience visiting it were awful. It does not look like any investment has been made to keep it pristine, the beds look old, the under cover terrace area needs an updated weather proof roof, there wasn't anywhere obvious to collect your towel (certainly not on entry and no one there to greet guests). Once we found the attendant, we did not receive a warm service, the towels were brought to our beds, without a smile and an abrupt request for our towel tokens. When we wanted to leave, again, we could not find the attendant to hand our towels back and ended up leaving these on a sunbed next to a table that had spare towel tokens left. This was not a 5-star experience to any level. We ended up changing our holiday to Capri, as we could not see how we would enjoy our 7-nights here. We were asked why we were leaving early, and we politely raised our points, and while it does say in the hotels T&Cs full payment will still be required, there was no offer made or any kind to compensate for our first night experience or to make up for the fact it meant us being so unhappy we changed our holiday plans and left after 2 nights. I hope things can improve to a higher standard for future guests.

WE HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE IN THIS HOTEL WHICH IS CLEARLY NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL. FIRST YOU ARRIVE AT THE HOTEL AND NEED TO CARRY YOUR LUGGAGES BY YOURSELF OR PAY AN ELECTRIC CAR TO BRING YOUR LUGGAGES TO THE RECEPTION. NO ROOM SERVICE ON AUGUST15 (BECAUSE THEY ARE HOSTING A DINER) - 5 STAR HOTEL ??? BREAKFAST IS DISGUSTING NO POOL - YOU NEED TO GO TO THEIR OTHER HOTEL TO FIND THE POOL THERE IS A SMALL DECK, WHERE NOBODY COMES TO SERVES YOU DRINK/FOOD THE INSIDE OF THE HOTEL IS NOT CLEAN AND THE ROOM REALLY UGLY NO HOT WATER IN THE SHOWER WE ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER, WHO OF COURSE NEVER CAME TO SEE US IT'S A TRAP AND REALLY NOT AT THE LEVEL OF A 5 STAR HOTEL OTHER 5 STAR HOTELS ON THE ISLAND WHICH ARE MUCH BETTER AT THE LEVEL OF THEIR DESCRIPTION - ESCAPE THIS ONE

Not actually five star. Lovely location. Comfortable beds. On the plus they changed the bed linen every day. The breakfast was fabulous. The restaurant wasn’t s great in the evening and the maitre’d ( I think he was called Genarro) was arrogant and focussed very much on the Italian clientele and how much guests were spending.

This hotel is 3* not even near 5*. Not even sure, under which qualifications were 5* obtained (I am professional hotelier working for proper 5* hotel and I know, what a hotel must provide for 5*). Let me start with a good thing: view from the room is really nice. That is it! Upon arrival, no bellman no doorman to help. After carrying the luggage from taxi drop off (5 minutes walk, as hotel is in pedestrian area) there are some small doors to the terrace of the hotel, that were closed. When you opened it and enter, receptionist then comes to greet you. You walked in heat to get to hotel, because there is no other means to get to hotel, no towel or welcome drink provided to refresh a bit. Already two fails. We did check in, receptionist escorted us to the room. Showed breakfast area and elevator and terrace, when we got to the room, no information about wifi, just mentioned: If you need anything press (number) on phone. She mentioned luggage will be delivered. After 30 minutes waiting (standard for luggage to be delivered for 5* hotels is worldwide 20 minutes) I went to lobby, saw that suitcases were still there and I carried them by myself. Again, two fails. Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM. Because of the time difference and remote work, me and my wife came to sit on the terrace at 7 AM. At 7:45 AM we finally went to grab some breakfast, when on display it was only bread, jam, pastries, water. Eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, were ready only at 8:05 AM. Ordered Iced Latte and Ice Americano, got two boiling hot filtered coffees with hot milk on the side. Table cloths are not pinned to table, so with a little wind, table cloth covers entire meal. Not hygienic and definitely not inviting. Clearance from the table non existing. We were actually pilling up some bowls and plates until eventually we removed them by ourselves. Terrace doors are kept open with two chairs from the nearby table to prevent from closing - see picture (when wind blew and close one of the doors, it hit one of the servers who was bringing us coffee and spilled this boiling hot coffee on his sleeve. And his reaction proved it was boiling hot, luckily guy was later seen fine). 5 fails for breakfast and definitely not worthy in 3* hotel. Room is small, no coffee machine or kettle in the room AT ALL!! With compliments only 2 small (250ml) bottles were given: 1 still and 1 sparkling water. Light at the entrance switches off automatically after some time entering the room. No one explained this! 3 fails from the room. Bathrobe had brown stains on it, definitely not hygienic - see attached also. Room service brought burned toast - see picture with extra order, that I did not even ordered and they wanted to charge for it. Employee brought the order and when I said, that I did not order second dish, he simply pushed me the pen and receipt and asked me to sign anyway. So I had to write, that I did not order second dish and I asked server to take it away. 2 fails At check out bill was inc
