"First visit and it will not be last. Building is beautiful full of character. Sedgefield is a lovely village. However, the room we stayed in 416 needs soundproofing. When we went back to room on the night there was a loud constance noise like a furnace, on enquiring by staff I was advised room was next to kitchen its the extractor fans going. It did stop after evening service but was woken up early when they were put on again for breakfast and on constant till we checked out. On returning I will be requesting a room no where near kitchen."

"Wow this place was just perfect! I was a bit nervous reading the reviews wonder if we even stayed at the same place! The lady on reception was lovely and friendly and booked us in for dinner and for breakfast, we could have had breakfast in bed but we went for the restaurant. The room was well decorated, massive bed and comfy as! Huge bath tub and shower all perfect. There's a selection of goodies in the mini bar wherr there's a fridge but we brought our own. There's a co-op nearby should you need anything. Outside was a lovely little courtyard with seating which we used as the sun was shining! And of the course the reason why we chose this hotel was the hot tub! It's brand new and is hot as! It was set at 40 degrees and maintained the temperature at all times we were in and we were in it for ages! We actually turned it down to 38 as it was a bit hot. The jets were powerful and did wonders for my shoulders and back. Then we went for dinner and wow, the best steak I've ever had it was delicious, it was a chateaubriand. The waiters were amazing and answered all my questions! Breakfast in the morning was also amazing! I would certainly recommend this place and we'll defo be returning! We got the dinner bed and breakfast rate and for what you get I think this is great value."

"Das ist die Pinte, das ist! Auch wenn es fair ist, sind Paul und sein Team bei The Hardwick Arms in Sedgefield auch ein Krackbesatzung. Sie haben ein richtiges Pub für die Gemeinschaft geschaffen, mit zwei Bars, klassischen Pub-Grub, Sport auf der Teller, einem Pooltisch und einer großen Atmosphäre, die alle Altersgruppen begrüßt. Das neue Menü ist Top-notch wo sonst kann man einen 10oz Steak für unter 20 £? Geh, gib es weg. Du weißt, dass es sinnvoll ist!"
