SpringHill Suites Houston NASA/Seabrook

For one night it was fine. I slept well, breakfast was ok. I have to keep typing... not sure what else to add... I can tell you not to bother with the Houston Space Center, that place ******. I did like the Kemah Boardwalk. I also visited Target for sunblock.

Just as we clicked the “confirm” button on our non refundable overnight reservation, we were informed on our screen that we were being charged an outrageous mystery fee equal to 50% of the daily rate — $78 out of $155 for “tax recovery and fees.” We called a few minutes later but got no explanation or cancellation — just an assurance that the “back room” would consider our request for a refund of this fee. We understand that fees are often added to a hotel rate, but are outraged that a 50% fee would be charged, and that we’d learn about it when it’s too late to do anything about it.

This was a wonderful hotel that was tucked away behind the main business off of a main street. Very quiet. Beds comfortable. One night stay prior to going on a cruise the next day. Very modern. The layout is a little bit different than your prototypical hotel. Definitely rank it higher than just a three star type hotel. This is my first day at Springhill by Marriott. Will definitely consider the future.

There was hot water in the entire hotel for two days and the hotel staff responded with an “oh well” type attitude showing no remorse and giving no apology. If I wanted to take a cold shower in the morning, I would’ve gone on a camping trip. Also, there was a huge gap in the room door, and obviously indicating the door was not fitted properly and poorly installed. This allowed an abnormal amount of light to enter the room at night. Finally, it was interesting. I never received a Marriott guest satisfaction survey for this stay. It was terrible.

We stayed the night before our cruise out of Galveston. This is our favorite hotel for pre-cruise nights. It's convenient to some great restaurants. The staff at the hotel are great and the breakfast is always nice.

Excellent! Very quiet, no road noise. Comfortable bed, pillows. Room perfectly clean, suite was very roomy. Breakfast was great and breakfast area was nice & modern. Great staff. We extended our stay another night. Nice courtyard area to sit at night. Zero complaints about this place! We will be back!

Hotel was well maintained. Check in was easy and they accommodated an early arrival. Pool clean, of course cold for time of year. Staff friendly. Location near many stores and restaurants. Close to NCL cruise port.

Our out of town guests who we arranged to stay at the motel told us that the rooms are attractive and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The location is good. The price for theroom is very good. However, the staff KNEW there was a problem with the hot water system Friday night, but did nothing to get it resolved until the maintenance staff arrived Saturday morning! Sadly, they did NOT get it resolved for the morning showers! Such a failure is unconsciousable! Cold showers are not fun. Having third party backup for after hours support for all areas of critical functions--electrical, phones, water, HAV, security, and lighting is Hotel Management 101. In addition, the breakfast was simply not up to any standards for a big hotel chain. Without management improvements in attention to detail, we will not use this property for future weekend overflow guests.
