Room was booked as part of a travel package for a music event at the mountain. Check-in was 3pm, event’s doors open at 4, you would think they would anticipate a lot of people descending on the property at the same time. Many of the rooms were not ready at 3, leaving a large group of travelers stuck in a warm lobby or in line out the door in the hot sun. Instead of bringing out pitchers of water, or some token of appreciation for the wait, the woman at the desk just attempted to avoid eye contact with everyone. When we it was our turn to check in, the clerk told us that the room was not ready, it would be about 15 minutes, to sit off to the side and she will call us over as soon as it’s ready so we don’t have to go through the line again. After about 20 minutes, my husband checked with her and she replied “Oh, yeah, it’s ready.” Who knows how long we would have sat there if he didn’t check back? They only had enough keys to give out 1 per room. The electronic key through the app does not work at this facility. The key stopped working, and when we went down, the woman in front of him had a disabled key too. The alternative side entrance next to the elevator broke down, so everyone had to go around through the lobby. I wonder if that’s a fire code violation in case of a need to evacuate? The restaurant is closed, and the “continental breakfast” is a rolling cart full of gas station-style faire. The room was not clean. It did not look vacuumed. There were strangers finger prints all over the ice bucket lid. There was black mold and obvious water damage on the ceiling in the bathroom, likely due to no exhaust fan. We started with an empty roll of toilet paper, facial tissue box was out too. There was a little dorm fridge on the floor right in the middle of the path to the bathroom, we moved it right away because it was surely something we would fall over getting up in the night to use the bathroom. There was a letter telling us they are not performing housekeeping during our stay because of Covid and to leave trash and dirty linens outside the door and to call the desk to request more. I have stayed many nights at hotels in the same price range for concerts and my kids travel team sports. I don’t expect a ton, but this place can do much better.

I never write reviews but I had to write this one. I saw a few of the negative reviews on here but thought they were exaggerating and it couldn’t really be that bad! It was in fact that bad. Upon check in we noticed there was a sign that said refund will be given if asked for in the first 15 minutes. That should’ve been the first clue. The door to the room had dirty prints and claw marks on the inside. The bed had a layer of dust and dirt all around it. The bedspread and sheets had cigarette burns. The room didn’t even smell clean. The person at the front desk was apologetic and did give us a refund. We left and went to another hotel. I would’ve slept in my car before staying there.

The hotel is currently undergoing a remodel. As a frequent guest, I have to admit it needed it. It was a relic from the 80s and now seems to be far more modern. Old obviously hotel print carpets are now replaced with a sleek modern marble tile in the lobby. They are operating without an official front desk as that is being remodeled too. The amenities are still available during the construction. The service is still friendly and accommodating. The staff all seem to be very excited about changes. I really have nothing bad to say about my experience. Maybe the parking is a little far. But only because the spaces close to the building fill up fast. I am in town often and stay at the days inn often because they are very responsibly priced. Now, with these new upgrades I feel like I am staying at a much higher end hotel.

We stayed here as part of a group bus trip to Massachusetts. The hotel seemed either new or newly renovated. Everything was clean and neat. The beds, linens and pillows were good quality. There is a sink outside the bathroom for a second person to use. Ironing board and hairdryer are provided. The hot breakfast was good quality, and had a nice variety. The dining/gathering area was welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and clean hotel, very pleasant check-in experience, and the room had everything we needed. We had an accessible room and it featured a very large bathroom, although there was a ledge on the tub that would be a problem for some people to get into the bath. Breakfast was good; a couple of hot dishes available (scrambled egg and mini quiche) and good coffee, juice, cereal selection. There is a gym but we didn't use it. There is also a small shop to purchase snacks, but we didn't buy anything there. Very close to good shopping and restaurant area, so there is lots to choose from in that regard.

Das Hotel ist von außen schön und der Lobby ist groß mit einem Knoten zu seiner früheren Existenz als Bahnhof. Check in was ok, I'd been emailed before my arrival to see if I wanted an upgrade which of course I did but on arrival was told that this was only available if I'd booked directly with Radisson. Es muss etwas Klarheit darüber geben, da es meinen Aufenthalt verärgerte. Es ist in einer tollen Lage mit vielen Orten zu essen lokal. Ich wurde versucht, im Hotelrestaurant zu essen, aber ich lese einige Bewertungen und habe sich dafür entschieden, nicht so kann ich nicht für ihre Genauigkeit bescheinigen. Das Zimmer war schön, aber die Möbel sah ein bisschen müde aus und musste früher als später ersetzt werden. Ich bin nicht sicher, ob ich hier noch einmal bleiben würde, da ich glaube, es gibt bessere Möglichkeiten da draußen.

Das Hilton Scranton ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber die Zimmer sind soweit Sauber. Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, wir sind für 1 Nacht dort gewesen und hatten ein Zimmer im 6. Stock, was auch sehr ruhig war. Das Frühstück ist typisch für Hilton und auch sehr lecker, empfehlenswert sind vor allem die Omelette. Der pub unten in der Lobby war ebenfalls ganz gut, leckeres Essen zu adäquaten Preisen. Falls ich mal wieder in der Gegend bin, würde ich wieder dort übernachten.
