Quaint, cute little hotel. Room was very clean, bed linens were clean and pillows were very comfortable. The room had a very strong smell to it - maybe cigarette hidden by febreeze/airfreshener. It was so strong it kinda hurt the throat. Employees were not friendly & when I asked a basic question, desk attendant was kinda rude. The employees also looked very unprofessional, unhappy & dirty. They were not wearing uniforms and were wearing headphones during guest interactions.

Our room smelled of smoke, the window was open, the bathroom was dirty and I am handicap in a wheelchair and was put on the second floor. When I asked how I would get down in an emergency, no one could answer that, leaving me to not feel safe, especially when the room smelled of smoke, therefor I didn't want to stay there. It would have been considerate of them to understand why I felt unsafe and everything else that happened but they refused to understand, so I left. Much more happened which I did address there and with Choice Hotels, but nothing happened. It's a sad case that didn't have to happen this way.

The staff was impolite and not respectful towards women. Pool was swampy and green and smelled swampy also. Gym was tiny and virtually unusable. Computer also didn't work and my room was loud. The back door also didn't work. I paid $180 for my stay. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

The rooms were spacious but the experience was pretty bad. Our first room smelled like smoke which I guess isn’t the hotels fault, and then when we asked for a new room the front desk person gave us a random room key and then when we opened the door there were already people there! And our third room smelled okay and was spacious but the bathroom tub/ shower would barely drain so there would be water filling up the tub while the shower was being used. So overall not a very good experience, at least it was pretty cheap considering we stayed there on Labor Day weekend.

Would not recommend. The first thing I noticed was an electric space heater sitting on the carpet running in the hallway. ( fire hazard) fire alarms sounded at 5:30 am leading me to think the worst. Scarlbough fd was on the seen within In minutes. Thankfully it was an elevator problem which I was having with earlier. Breakfast was ice cold probably because they couldn’t keep up with the homeless packing the food in their backpacks, how the front desk didn’t know they were not paying guests is beyond me. . The exterior was covered with cigarette buts even though they do have receptacles.

We didn't go. We attempted to make a reservation and, by accident, hit the wrong date. When we tried to correct the mistake, we were first told by the customer service person to call back after 7 a.m. because he didn't know what to do. He wanted a supervisor to be on scene. When the second call was made, we were told by the customer service supervisor that he would NOT make any changes. In addition, he said that we needed to show up for the date requested. We were not able to be there. We have been members of Choice Hotels for several years. We'll never stay here. Customer service is severely lacking at this location. They stole our money; they charged us and we received nothing in return. They are thieves.

This hotel is adequate for an overnight. It was clean and safe, but a little worn around the edges. The breakfast is what you would expect - filling. The a/c isn't the most robust, but it's Maine not Florida. This hotel is fine for a night or two.

Great stay Great hotel :) Super clean, very spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Staff was also very nice. The location was also in the middle of everything. Everything was great. From the room and valet parking and breakfast was great. I recommend this hotel to all.

Worst hotel I ever checked into, the review are accurate. I booked the hotel then read the reviews. Tried to cancel but they said they had 24 hr cancellation policy even though I just booked 20 mins earlier. Checked into hotel hoping it wouldn’t be that bad. It was just as described. Smokey room with overpowering deodorizer, mild everywhere. Just a mess of a place. Tried to cancel again but they were insistent on charging me for a room that I wouldn’t stay in. What a disgrace. Do yourself a favor and just stay away. They may have got me a night that I didn’t stay but hopefully hundreds read this don’t book. Foolish management
