Comfort Suites

The booking company that they use is a rip off resulting in an up charge of $63.74. Never use their booking company Guest Reservation. Terrible customer service and refusal of reinstatement of reservation. I was charge $177.45 and they would not reinstate the reservation 10 minutes after trying to change the reservation via the online booking

I wanted to like this hotel. It was mid-priced, far from the lowest in Sanford, NC area. It started well, the woman at the desk checking is in was very nice. That’s the only positive thing I can say. The room, hallways, elevator were all unkempt, with dirt and construction debris. Screws in the hallways, unfinished plaster, tub drain so slow, standing in puddles. Had to jam a shampoo lid under the drain to keep it elevated so it would drain at all, and then you still stood in soapy water. Some form of DNA (blood or feces, wasn’t going to find out) on what should have been fresh folded towels. Holes in the walls. Painters tape dangling from the ceiling. Huge piles of curtains, construction debris, and furniture in the front lawn of hotel. I’ve stayed over 1000 nights in 30 years of travel. Stayed in great and not so great. This was the worst. I’ll warn my entire family to avoid this property in Sanford. Don’t waste your hard earned money on this Comfort Suites, Sanford property.

We've stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago and everything was fine. However, this time it was not as good. The carpet was either extremely dirty or damp. I put on white socks after my shower. After a few trips across the floor my socks were brown on the bottom. We settled in for the night and then found the commode was not working. My husband tried calling the front desk and found the phone wasn't working. He went downstairs and reported the commode problem. The desk clerk said we could move to another room with 2 double beds instead of a king. We got out of bed and packed up everything and moved to another floor. This room was much better, but the double bed was very small compared to a king. When we checked out I asked if we could get a discount for our inconvenience during the night and was told that a manager would need to make that decision. The desk clerk said the manger would call us and he would not check us out until the manager called. We waited for 2 days and didn't receive a call. Checked our credit card and the original charge had went through. I would have expected the manager to at least call even if they couldn't offer a discount.

This Comfort Suites is probably one of the best Choice Hotels I have ever visited! The staff is friendly and professional, the lobby is clean and welcoming, the rooms are very nice and the breakfast is satisfying!

In May 2023, we were guests at this hotel and I am not happy with second night. There was a party in the parking lot below our room. We made a complaint to the front desk and the police were called. The police did not break up the party. The party continued and the police was called a second time but again the party did not break up. The party went onto 1:45am. I asked to speak to manager the following morning but they were not available. I finally talked to them a couple of days later and she was not willing to comp the room or give me any form of relief. She said the situation was handled properly and the police said the party was within the noise ordinance was not broken. I do not believe this situation was handled property and recommend you not stay here.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very polite and accommodating. The toilet in the room did not flush properly so they gladly moved us to another room. They also provided good eating option in the area.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was really nice and the beds were comfortable. My only complaint would need that it needs deep cleaned. The tub had black in the corners, I can only assume that it was mildew. The curtains needed taken down and replaced. There was rust on the lamp posts. Shower pressure was non existent. Overall our stay wasn't bad, we'd stay here again but it would be more enjoyable if those things were fixed.
