The hotel is clean and comfortable and I found all staff really pleasant. As a light sleeper, I had to move rooms due to the noise as we were very close to reception, lifts and the bar. Even on a quieter upper floor, our room was still quite noisy with the walls seemingly very thin between apartments. This was my experience and not that of the other families we travelled with. The pool is in shade most of the morning but there are sunbeds at the side of the hotel by the jacuzzi in full sun all day. The hotel has an onsite supermarket which is great for water and essentials but is expensive compared to the main supermarket in Cap Salou which is a 5 minute walk away. I highly recommend using the bus to go into La Pineda at night. A multiple journey card is inexpensive and the journey takes less than 5 minutes. Within Cap Salou, we enjoyed Route 66 and The San Francisco for dinner and drinks.

Hotel was great, staff really friendly and food was great so couldn't fault that side of it, however this is probably the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed at. Parents sitting getting drunk at the bar and allowing their kids to run riot, running in and out of rooms banging doors etc, still running around at 3am in the morning chapping doors and being a nuisance. The Irish gypsies next door to us constantly fought and screaming on the balcony at 4am in the morning. This let the hotel down as it seemed to be allowed without any challenge or action from the hotel. Don't expect to get a sleep before 2am earliest each night. It's far too noisy for that between the kids running around slamming doors and the level of music blasting from the hotel next door. The weather and food and staff in general were great but the hotels inaction was a total let down.

We have stayed here for the last 12 years and have always found the staff friendly and helpful, the cleaners work hard and we had our room cleaned everyday except Sunday. The superior apartment we had on the 5 th floor was stunning and very clean, The food in restaurant is lovely and affordable and the breakfast is delicious, The entertainment is great for all ages and fun for children. We are going back next year again and are looking forward to another fab holiday , See you soon Sunclub

Firstly we holidayed as a couple with no children. When we booked, we paid extra for an apartment overlooking the pool and apparently these are the ones that have most recently been renovated. We were initially on the 2nd floor but the outside music by the pool was too loud, so we paid a little more again and was moved to the 5th floor, which we could still hear the music and pool noise but not quite as bad and the sea view was beautiful. The Carrefour mini supermarket underneath the hotel is definitely handy. The apartment and the whole hotel was immaculately clean and tidy. Very spacious balcony too. The kitchenette could have been better equipped and there's a list on the inside of one of the kitchen cupboards of extra things you can ask for, which included a chopping board, glasses, coffee pot etc. But once we asked for them they were brought straight to us. We still could have done with a few extra things like a jug, bowl, cutting knives (had one steak knife and one bread knife only) Washing-up liquid and dishcloth, scrubber and teatowels supplied which was good. Reading previous reviews about the inside noise, I honestly can't say the room noise was any different from a 4 or 5 star hotel. When people were on their balconies you can definitely hear eachother, but it was very rare to hear more than the usual table and chairs being scrapped on the floor. The noise we didn't like was the pool music. It was too loud for us and sometimes went on after 9pm. It's a shame smoking is still allowed on the balconies as the smoke drifts into everyone's room which is unpleasant and being asthmatic quite troublesome, but we have to live with it at the moment. All the reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly and accommodating. The snack bar wasn't our cup of tea.... more like a cheap cafeteria with formica tables. We did order some takeaway chips from there one evening as we and most of the hotel guests didn't leave the hotel as we had torrential rain all day, so thought we'd buy them to have alongside some burgers we'd bought in the mini Carrefour supermarket. We were astonished at the mini portion we were given for €3.80! Didn't venture there again. There was only one eating/bar place open in Cap Salou when we were there, because it's end of season. The Tropical bar wasn't our thing, but had a lunch of toasted sandwich and a beer on our first day because we were hungry and tired after travelling, but didn't inspire us to return. In season, there looked like there were some more eateries to choose from. But getting the buses to other towns was easy. There are some lovely little quiet coves a few minutes walk down the hill from hotel. And a beautiful coastal walk to Salou. Takes about 40-45 minutes if you didn't stop, but it's hard not to take in the lovely views and have a paddle occasionally. Buses each way along the coast and into Reus are frequent and easy and stop just down from the hotel. It's even cheaper if you purchas

Without doubt the noisiest Hotel I have ever visited.... !!! Has some good points but I don't think I will ever be returning... I did not eat or drink in any of their bar or restaurant areas. But the breakfast looked good . Cambrils just down the coast is worth a visit and buses are regular and inexpensive

Stayed at sun club salou in October 2024, easy check in with Alice who is a credit to the hotel, she was always approachable and knowledgeable. Stayed in a self catering one bed room apartment, decent size, large balcony & clean. Offers air con but barely worked while I was there. The hotel is situated about 10 Mins drive from the main part of salou. Had the breakfast buffet a few times while I was there and the buffet was good price with plenty of selection. For people who are going self catering please be aware the hotel isn’t near many restaurants, there are about 5 restaurants near the hotel to choose from which doesn’t offer anything different from the other restaurants. The pool area is lovely, however the temperature of the pool is Baltic, you couldn’t stay in the pool for more than a few minutes without shivering, no need for the temperature of the pools to be this cold, even baby pool is ridiculously cold even in the warm weather. I couldn’t let my child stay in it for too long. There is a heated jacuzzi which would have been lovely to use however didn’t get the chance to use it because it was over run by families using it for there children because it was heated and if you did try to use it you would get splashed or get dirty looks from the other families who were already using it as a play area. The pool areas are in the shade until mid afternoon unless you mange to get a sunbed near the jacuzzi where the sun is always out but this is unlikely because these are usually reserved by people putting their towels on them first thing in the morning even though the rules state this isn’t allowed to happen. Rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels, bedding wasn’t changed unless requested. The rooms aren’t very sound proof you can hear everything. The hotel next door as entertainment on 24/7 and the music from this is ridiculously loud and carries on into the night until 12/1am and I was on the opposite side and could still hear the music every night.
