After booking online, I drove with my 2 children under the age of 2 hoping to get them out of the car finally to a room and the manager told me they do not give rooms to locals within 60 miles. I told her we was there because my mom, who is a Marine veteran, was going to the Salem VA for cancer treatments but she didn’t care. I’m not sure why they couldn’t call me before then since I booked the room weeks ahead of time. I brought my babies in so they could get out of the car since they had been sitting in it for over 2 hours, to call my mom to relocate and she proceeded to tell us she was calling the law. They have rented to me several times before when I would pay for my mom to stay there or even when I came with her. When I asked about a refund, she said I would have to contact the third party administrator. We are a family of 4 and both my husband and I work hard so we depend on that $560 and can’t wait for whatever process that is! Especially since I have to spend more to go somewhere else. So after going 5 miles down the road and getting a room with no problem, I googled the distance and I live 82 miles from there. So not only did she lie, but I still don’t know when or if I will get my money back.
