AmericInn by Wyndham St. Cloud MN Shopping Area

This was recently converted from a Fairfield Inn. I had stayed here before when it was Fairfield and was happy with the stay. This stay was as good and the staff was much more friendly and helpful this time. The cleanliness was very good and it was quiet. The fitness center was good which is important to me. I did not try the breakfast. I hope they continue to keep this property in great shape because it’s worth the stay.

The rooms were clean but they could have been better press not even about the rooms breakfast was awesome that Gal Francine is a keeper she make sure that everything stays wipe down sanitized I like the way she reacted with the children her smell her friendliness towards the gas she’s awesome she’s a keeper I wish I lived here is close I would hire her but the front Dess I will not come back to this hotel until that situation is taken care of it is disgusting to have someone working your front DeskAnd not him can’t even take care of business we gotta stand there while she gets her nod off and ring the bell for her attention

Just horrible the manager Michelle was so high she almost fell into the book case from nodding so badly I was there with my kids hockey team and that's definitely something kids should not have to witness I didn't want to have a conversation with kids this early in life but thanks to your hotel I did. She is very rude to customers over heard her talking really mean to an elderly woman and refused to give her towels I highly recommend you find another hotel to stay at until they clean house who hires a drug addict to run their business?

Clean hotel. Good staff. Location close to I94. It was busy but we had a good stay. This hotel had the best shower in any hotel we've stayed in, amazing water pressure, great shower head and controls. Marie at the front desk was very helpful.

We arrived slightly before check in time and the Bonvoy app had told me my room was already ready. NOTE: they do not have Mobile Key at this location, nor could I check out on the app (I know that is important to some people). I was on the 3rd floor while my family was on the 1st (we hadn't booked together so no problem). I had a king sized suite with a view of the back parking lot (I don't think any of the rooms have a great view as it goes). Despite eventually finding out I was booked in the room between a group of twenty something men, I found the room to be very quiet at most all times. The AC was a window unit that could be easily turned up/down or set on constant fan if you like that noise (I always bring a sound machine for sleep). As I have a horrible back, my review of any bed is not an accurate one but my family said they slept ok. I did ask for foam pillows but none were ever delivered so I'm not sure this hotel has any. The 'couch' in the room was really only a love seat so if you're expecting to sleep on that, maybe make alternate plans (it may have pulled out into a bed, not sure). My room was clean BUT I have to say that my mother unfortunately found some feces on the toilet paper dispenser shortly after we first arrived. Not a great first impression to be sure. The shower was ok and there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom, which overall was adequately sized for just one person. The sink was inside the bathroom so if you have more than one person, you can't really get ready at the same time, although my sister's room (right next door to the pool) had a sink outside the bathroom. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around this area, a few within walking distance. We ate at a nearby Perkins restaurant for breakfast both mornings. I did notice that the hotel breakfast was kind of small so that's why we chose Perkins. (We were going to be in the car most all day so we wanted to be sure we were full.) The breakfast area itself was at least clean and never overly crowded. We probably won't be back to the area again (stayed in order to visit a town about 90 minutes away) but we would probably stay here again if we were coming back - the other Marriott property in town was booked up on our dates. Hopefully my mom's room cleanliness issue was a one off.

Never experienced a worse breakfast than this one, we’ll never really got to experience a breakfast. I get it, hotels have a standard breakfast. This one was supposed to run for. 8:00-10:00. My family and I got down there at 9:10. Everything was gone but a couple of boiled eggs and some off-looking apples. If we couldn’t eat, well then maybe we could have a drink. Nope. Orange juice and apple juice dispenser was squirting out a putrid mix of either juice. Both went down the drain immediately. Maybe we could get a plate in anticipation of seeing some food, or even cutlery. Nope. There was a worker who droned through the area, went in the prep kitchen (as if to bring out some food reinforcements), but just wandered off to the front desk while hotel guests milled around looking for a morsel to eat. I’m not one to moan about things, but this hotel does not deserve more than one star for this service.

We've stayed here before. About 4 months ago they did some remodeling.Really liked this place before but LOVE it now. Very attractive, clean, very accommodating & excellent customer service. I recommend this as an excellent place to stay !

I am traveling with my husband and 6 kids we tried serveral hotels in that area and because I didn’t have a credit card I wasn’t able to get a room we slept in our vehicle two days in a row and I just wanted somewhere for my family and I to be able to sleep comfortably for a night I was told by the overnight person rudely that I couldn’t use cash and to get a credit card from the gas station anyway I went and it was just our luck the machine was down and we couldn’t do that frustrated and overwhelmed with screaming sleepy kids God sent this young lady back my way she was very very nice and used her own card to help my family and for that we will forever be grateful I know I’m spelling her Name wrong but Tamika was a blessing sent from above I offered to pay her she said No and gave me a big hug and said bless me and my family you don’t have kind hearted people like that anymore and I just want her to know that she really helped a struggling mother and for that I am forever grateful!!!!

Friendly staff makes this a happy stop along the way Nice breakfast spread with something for all Pool is perfect for the young ones Room was nicely laid out with a great air conditioner All in all a nice stop on our journey So nice we’ve stayed here twice
