I recently had an experience with Grand Plaza that was unfortunately VERY unsatisfactory. Due to the fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk being canceled, I no longer needed my booking. I was disappointed to find that the hotel was unwilling to offer a refund or credit for the rescheduled fight in May! While I understand the importance of cancellation policies, I had hoped for some degree of flexibility under the circumstances. All of my friends at different hotels had got at least 50% refund. This experience has cost me over £500 and unfortunately affected my view of the hotel and my likelihood of booking in the future. I believe more accommodating policies during unforeseen events would significantly improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
