Location is amazing. My room was in the yellow building over looking the harbour. 5-10 mins from train station and short walk from Main Street. Room was clean and tidy, coffee, biscuits and water replenished daily. Paolo was a very good host and explained the area and the hiking trails, trains and ferry times etc. If you are planning on hiking I’d recommend waiting to book train and hiking cards until you get here. Paolo gets it discounted and makes it much simpler than the websites or trying to get tickets from stations as avoids queues. WiFi was fine in my room. If I was to return I would stay here for sure

Had a great stay here, late September 2024. Location can’t be beaten, we were in the terrace overlooking the harbour with the balcony. The photo attached with the arrow pointing to it! The place was clean and well equipped. Wi-Fi is very poor but I suppose that’s to be expected given where you are. You really are right in the heart of the harbour, so it does get busy in the day, but does quieten down at night. The stairs to the bedroom in the apartment are a little precarious as there is no hand rail. Just be careful! 10 min walk to the train station where you can travel to many places. Lots and lots of steps in the town and the region. Free coffee, tea and biscuits provided each day. Fresh towels provided when you needed them. Only minor gripe was the toilet flush is very temperamental and does need fixing. But, would highly recommend this place if staying in Riomaggiore. Would recommend the Bar Stazione for breakfast!

This was our favorite accommodation in Italy. We had a two bedroom apartment with a gorgeous view of the harbor. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The owner, Paolo was so helpful. He recommended a fish restaurant next door. We had a wonderful meal there. Cinque Terre is pretty crowded during the day, but when the crowds leave it’s quite serene so try to spend at least 3 nights. Book way ahead as Scorci Di Mare gets booked up far in advance.

We stayed in the upper most room with the big balcony. It was a really great place to stay in cinque Terre. Worth the extra money to get this room. Very good views, good location, nice room, good bottle of wine that came with the room. Nice host. Rio Mag was a good town to choose of the five.

Perfect location, perfect for 2 people, memorable trip and happy to see the room we stayed in, on post cards! There's steep stairs but manageable to get up/down with luggage. Easy check in after hours. Kind of loud if people are drinking outside, but calming when you hear the water.

Scorci di Mare rents out a few different apartments in Riomaggiore. We had the 1 bedroom with terrace apartment. This 2-story apartment is located at the top of the yellow building on the harbour (see picture). This is a great location! The view is of the buildings on the opposite side of the main street and of the harbour. There is no sunset view as the sun sets behind the building you are in (they do have a 2bdrm apartment on the opposite side of the street that has a sunset view, but no terrace). This apartment is steps away from some of the best restaurants in Riomaggiore and at the beginning of the trail along the coast (just check to see if it open as the trail was closed for an extended period for repairs). It's also not far from the train station or ferry dock. Parking (as normal for the Cinque Terre) is far from the apartment. The host has a couple of reserved spots in his own garage on the upper road. He will meet you at the top of the town to take you there. When we arrived, we had to wait a very long time (in excess of 30 minutes) for him to arrive, despite phoning from La Spezia in advance to arrange for our arrival time. Had similar issues on check out as we had to wait for him to arrive at the office (up some stairs across the street from the apartment) after the scheduled opening time in the morning. This meant we missed the bus to take us up to the parking, but luckily found a taxi to take us there (it really is a very long, steep climb back up out of the town). Speaking of stairs, it is the nature of the town to have to deal with lots of stairs everywhere. Be aware that this suite requires a climb of over 50 steps from the street. The location is excellent, however be aware that it can be noisy as it overlooks the harbour. Once the restaurants empty at night it becomes much quieter, and one can listen to the waves lap against the shore all night! The suite came equipped with a full kitchen, was clean and well-maintained and quite comfortable! The owner was quite helpful in getting us the passes required to hike the trails and use the trains. And explained options that would be less expensive as not all trails require the pass. Definitely worth staying right in any of the Cinque Terre towns to get a real feel for the unique setting!

Great view, Good location, lovely staff very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you, room very clean, cleaned daily and water restocked, close to everything. I would recommend and I definitely would come again if travel here again in the future.
