Lofoten Bed & Breakfast Reine - Rooms & Apartments

Great location with free parking and wifi. Breakfast was included in the price and was adequate. Special thanks to the very attentive Eastern European lady who always ensured that nothing ran out and that we had all we needed. There is no elevator so dragging two 28kg suitcases up three sets of stairs was a little inconvenient but not a problem. My biggest issue with this accommodation was the lack of blockout curtains. I just can’t understand how any accommodation within the arctic circle wouldn’t have proper blinds or curtains to block out the light during the summer nights. We had to resort to taping the windows with aluminium foil to get some sleep. The single bathroom with toilet within was shared between three bedrooms, which was a little cumbersome. Just like all accommodation in Lofoten, it’s expensive and you could get a five star luxury apartment for the same money in other places, but it’s Norway, it’s Lofoten so I better stop complaining.

Rooms are tastefully renovated, showers are great, breakfast is simple but good, location is good, noise and customer service is sub-par. This is an older style building so expect noise, especially if you are allocated a room on the lower levels. I was kept awake by people above me moving around/moving furniture/talking till all hours of the morning (both nights). I asked to move rooms after the first night, but was informed that "Unfortunately we do not have any rooms that are more quiet than others". There is no reception to be able to talk to someone and emal communication was sub-par e.g. (my request to move rooms was at 11:20pm the first night, reply from the buisness was 6:20pm the next day). Advice to travellers: (1) Prepare with all you need to know before you arrive at this B&B, I wouldn't count on your questions being answered in a hurry once you arrive. (2) Take earplugs for sleeping and (3) If you are a guest on the top floors, be aware that every noise you make (including walking up the stairs and along the corridors), can be heard underneath you.

Great location near the ‘Reine’ bus stop. Many places to take rest. Free wifi. Nice view from the room with a big bathroom, but no elevator. What I really like is a free breakfast. There’re a lot of activities free to participate. Reasonable price. I highly recommend.👍🏻

Location, breakfast offerings and very nice staff at the property. It was beautifully furnished throughout and had a nice outdoor area. Really great shower pressure and nice view over the fjord. Bus stop right across the road and very good base for a trip to Reine. Jelena and Therese made us feel very welcome and would recommend it as a great value, centrally based property for a first visit to Lofoten.

Teresa runs an amazing bed and breakfast in a perfect location! We spent 3 nights in Reine. This charming b&b is perfectly located near the hikes we wanted to do. Teresa was so sweet - she sat and spoke with us about the islands and even offered us tips on how to spot the Northern Lights at the end of August! She makes all the breakfast herself every morning. You will definitely not leave hungry. Walking distance to two restaurants and a gas station with good food. Self check-in was very easy. Would 100% stay here again!
