Very clean and comfortable. All staff friendly and helpful. Good location (but satnav struggled to find it). Great breakfast.

Not what I expected quite disappointed booked 2 night weekend stay, and left after one night. Positives are breakfast was exceptional a lot of choice and fresh produce, polite and helpful staff, lovely gardens, however the negatives outweighed the positives. The bar is only selectively opened when they want to sell food. I.e lunchtime 12-2 pm, does not open again until 6 pm. Although food is excellent there is little bee choice, on tap is beer I have never heard of and the taste is horrible at £6.00 a pint. We found carlsberg bottles £3.00 each, which were bearable but then ran out so nothing else to drink the next day when we were there to relax after the working week so we decided to go home. The rooms are dated small double bed and very small, cheap looking shower in need of updating. Lots of stairs to contend with if you have breathing issues or bad knees like me. Not for me I’m afraid, would have stuck it out for the lovely food but no decent beer to drink and with nothing else to do all day 1 night was enough.

This is a conference hotel but we chose it as we were visiting family close by. 2 night stay. First night family room was very run down, hole in carpet, bathroom very worn and shabby, however it was very clean and spacious. The main problem was the sofa bed for my 2 girls - the mattress was awful and you could feel the metal springs from the bed frame. They did not sleep well and so the next day when we returned I mentioned this at reception. We were offered another family room which was lovely - 2 double beds and new bathroom. This was also very clean, so we had a comfortable second night. Breakfast was really good, the first morning was a buffet as hotel busy. Usual cooked breakfast with croissants, fruit, cereal yoghurt etc. second morning it was a lot quieter and so breakfast was cooked for us. The lady working in the breakfast room was very helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking and amenities close by.

Always a perfect place to stay, extremely helpful and friendly staff, they make you feel part of their family. The rooms are always immaculate, the food is amazing and well presented, and the breakfast is to die for. Seriously, why would you want to stay anywhere else.

Lovely room and friendly staff. Unfortunately there was a wedding party there and the music was directly below our room. The floor was vibrating. When we asked at reception we were immediately offered another room which turned out to be a huge suite. Thanks to Jane who made it happen and to the helpful staff who helped us pack up and move. Also special shout to Chris the friendly and efficient barman. All in all the friendliest staff we've met anywhere

The property is stunning in terms of the surroundings. I had a slight issue on my way in finding it as the signage on the country road isn’t very clear so I drove past the turning twice. When I arrived again the signage isn’t very clear about where to go and park. There are signs for reception but they are coupled with signs for a teachers union which I personally found confusing as I was unsure if I was in the correct place. The staff were super friendly and helpful during check in, and in the bistro bar. The pricing in the bistro bar was also very good, I had a pizza and a large glass of wine which was all very enjoyable. My room was well presented, and clean. The bathroom looked like the towels had just been replaced but not cleaned as there was hair which looked like someone had just shaved over the sink and the shelf. The shower had a few hairs in also. The hairdryer on the wall in the bathroom wasn’t great, I believe if you simply swapped these for normal hairdryers they would be much better. The breakfast was good, there was a good selection of foods and drinks. Checkout was easy also. Overall a good stay, with slight changes it would’ve been a great stay!

Lovely hotel - set in a lovely area with beautiful views. Staff very welcoming on arrival and very efficient. Great section of breakfast nxt day - with freshly made tea/coffee and toast. Rooms have everything you need , clean and in good condition. large bathroom with good powerful shower. Nice fluffy towels.

Been many times for conference weekends,and never disappointed,excellent accommodation,staff,catering and location near but not too near Birmingham.Highly recommended!! For leisure or business stays, check it out!! Nearby walking,jogging,biking trails and routes also.89
