The Lodge at Eagle Crest

I cannot tell you how disappointed I was in this hotel. I had my hopes high as the pictures looked amazing. I paid over $400 a night for a king suite. It was a high demand weekend so I was willing to pay a little more than the standard rate. First off this place is severely dirty and outdated. The pictures you see online lie!!! The floors in my room were filthy! Like standing dirt /lent and popcorn kernels filthy. No extra bedding was available for the hide-a-bed couch . (To which we were needing) The TV didn’t work in the living room and the AC unit wouldn’t stay on, nor supply AC to the living room portion of our “suite.” It was over 77 degrees in my room, I felt like I couldn’t open the curtains to view the golf course, because it would heat my room up more. I went to the front desk, feeling like a “ Karen” with all my complaints. I was given a box fan to remedy the AC issue; which it didn’t. I twice went to the front desk about the TV. Finally, I was given a new HDMI power box; to which I had to set up myself. No biggie, but at $400 a night, I was hoping not only for luxury but customer service…. I had to laugh as I went out to the balcony on the morning of day 2 and the screen door fell completely out of its tracks. Seriously, this place is awful!

Gross! Needs major updating and cleaning. Looks nothing like the photos. The carpets are disgusting, sheets were dirty, blankets smelled, cafe was awful. Floors are so thin, you hear everything going on above you. Way better places to stay. For a resort, this was more like a Motel 6.

We just visited this resort for our second time. We didn't hold high expectations for the rooms as we know they are outdated. However, our daughter loves the pool there so we came back solely for that reason. How could this go wrong with no expectations? The air conditioning in our room did not work. We asked the hotel staff twice to have someone go into our room, check it and try to adjust the thermostat in case we were not setting it correctly. They did the checks while we were out and about and provided zero update to us. The air conditioning was clearly broken because the only they did was leave a fan on the floor. They didn't offer us a different room. They didn't offer a discount on our stay. The response when we finally went back to the front desk was, "sorry that happened to you." What? Seriously? The room never got below 77. That's unacceptable! And for them to basically tell us to suck it up when we paid $418 for two nights is a slap in the face. With that, I might as well show the issues with the room which I would of never noted if they would have simply offered us a new room with working AC. See the pictures; dirty, broken, too worn not to replace. My wife and I are not the type of people to throw fits in order to get our way, so we just dealt with it. Too bad they won't make an effort to help nice people and returning guests.

Our one-bedroom suite looked nothing like any of the resort pics. It was outdated and in mediocre to poor shape. Peeling paint on cupboard doors, mold in shower corners, shower shelf was broken off (and not replaced), worn and uncomfortable sofa, bedside lamp switch was broken. We asked to have the lamp replaced, but it never was in the 4 days we were there. The front desk person suggested we unscrew the bulb to turn on/off. Our room at the Hampton Inn in Portland was twice as nice at half the price. Very very disappointed. On the bright side, grounds were beautiful - wish they put some of that effort into their rooms.

Ended up in an ADA room, not by choice but because it was the only room available when we made our reservation. There was no chair, had to ask, a they provided one. No daily room service, which meant we had to go to the front desk for replacement k-pods, creamer, cups, etc. Property is dated and in need of a major overhaul. Hot water took forever to appear, and then often would turn cold while in use. Plus, all this for a not inexpensive room rate.

For a resort this place is not good. Best Western is better than this. Their pool is supposed to open at 9. I sat around for almost an hour and still the guy is setting up chairs, thr front desk didn't know why it wasn't open at 9. They left 1 roll of toilet paper for a 5 day stay. They said if we wanted the room cleaned to leave the please clean sign on the door and we didn't have one. The tv didn't work, phone didn't work. The amenities are skimpy. No fan in the bathroom and they really could use new toilets that don't make you feel like your knees are in your chest from being so low to the ground. One of our lamps didn't work. The lady at the front desk when I called always just hung up instead of being friendly and saying goodbye etc. Not sure we will stay here again.

I am currently here only because my husband has a OSFM class, otherwise we would have checked out faster than we checked in. This place is nothing like the pictures. It is old, dingy, musty, grimy slick floors etc. I wouldn’t stay here for free…at this point, I’d rather go sleep in my car.

This was a very appalling weekend getaway for my husband and I. The hot tub (and outdoor pool) are across the parking lot! Kind of a chilly walk back to your room with wet clothes. We were told the hot tub closed at 10, but when we went back around 9 to look for something left behind, they had it covered already. There is no microwave in the room, but they have a DVD player. You can rent DVDs from another building (not within walking distance) Must also be where the "indoor" pool is located, as well? The carpet had holes in it, the bed sheet was torn, the headboard had gouges missing from it, too. (fake leather) We were stuck in a wing on ground level (Level 1, Lobby is Level 2); which are not even connected! Our view was of lovely bushes. There were NOT many people staying there, based on the pretty empty parking lot. We had, what sounded like, people bowling or elephants above us; not to mention the yelling and running up and down the halls near midnight. The shower was super slippery- no mat or anti-slip tape. Very dangerous. When we checked out, we mentioned to the girl at the front desk how disappointed we were. Never apologized or asked if we wanted to speak with anyone else. All she said was "I know." Well, now everyone else will know, too! I am trying to think of something positive to say, but I've got nothing... Would not return OR recommend!

Our weekend at the Lodge was quite underwhelming. We opted to stay here because it always pops up when looking for places to stay, and figured that we would give it a shot staying outside of Bend for our annual girls’ trip. We checked into the hotel around 6PM and told them we had a dog. They put us in room 114. When opening the door we had to use the full weight of our body each time to open the door because it was jammed/stuck/etc. The room was super gross, and the longer we stayed the more we noticed. The floor hadn’t been vacuumed in some time - clumps of dog hair and crumbs all over. Holes in the wall. The headboards were scratched and peeling, and the phone was straight up missing buttons. The bathroom was the worst with water damage and mold/mildew on the ceilings, and tiles. Underneath the sink and near the toilet was a mess. When we left for dinner we fed the dog. When we came back an hour later there were hundreds of ants in the dogs food bowl and crawling all over the carpet. The second room we got moved to - 111 across the way, was much better but still dingy and dusty. The front living room TV had the cable box removed but the bedroom had one. The couch was pretty dirty and worn. Just so much dust all over. This isn’t an issue with the hotel being dated to be clear. Both rooms were falling apart and dirty. There’s no excuse to have such a mess if the rooms are being cleaned regularly. I have to give credit where due - the front desk people comped us the first night and moved us to another room the next morning as soon as we asked. The front desk was great, housekeeping not so much. Super bummed at our experience for this - even with a night comped this wasn’t worth $250.
