Premier Inn Reading (Caversham Bridge)

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel, thanks to the clean and beautifully turned-out facilities and the exceptional staff. The room was great, and the mattress was the best I have ever slept on. However, my stay was somewhat marred by the hotel's location next to the Toby Carvery. The car park of the Toby Carvery seems to be a popular gathering spot for youngsters with modified cars and motorbikes, who unfortunately tend to rev their engines and show off their straight-through exhausts. This noise can be quite disruptive, especially for light sleepers. Moreover, I was awakened at 6:00 AM by a truck parked under my window, which caused a significant amount of noise and belched fumes into my room. As an asthma sufferer, this was particularly problematic and forced me to keep my windows closed, which was less than ideal in the warm weather. Despite these issues, the hotel staff were incredibly kind and understanding when I brought my concerns to their attention. They informed me that Toby Carvery receives deliveries on Tuesdays and Thursdays and suggested that guests who are sensitive to noise request rooms facing the river for a more peaceful experience. Overall, while the hotel itself is lovely and the staff are wonderful, the noise from the neighboring Toby Carvery is something to keep in mind when booking a stay. I would recommend this hotel, but would caution light sleepers or those with respiratory issues to request a room away from the car park. Stayed in a premier plus room and was very happy with the amenities and how quiet it was. Breakfast area felt quite small but I was able to have what I wanted. As a single female traveller felt very safe and it is an easy walk from the train station.

The staff at Premier inn Caversham are always happy smiling and welcoming. Breakfast cooked to perfection and a good value. Rooms are spotless , beds comfortable and surrounding area great for walks by the river and quiet nights. I always choose this hotel for my visits and it never disappoints.

I had a wonderful experience at Premier Inn Reading Caversham Bridge. The location is perfect for a quiet getaway, yet still close to the city. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room was immaculate with a very comfortable bed. Waking up to the view of the Thames was a highlight. Great value for money, and I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Very rude staff! Refuse to give extra towels, no understand on the hotel or surrounding areas. Hotel was tiny, room cramped full, shower room is very small. Given a room outside the lift asked to move but receptionist refused saying that there are no double rooms other than 202

Our room was very hot. There was a large fan that didn’t seem to work. There is no air conditioning . The staff were helpful though and changed the fan but is was still 25 degrees in the room! Our son had in a room at the back and that was much cooler. On the positive side the bed was comfy and there was a good shower. Breakfast was really good. The chef (Vessi) cooked a lovely breakfast to order which arrived quickly, hot and well presented. Judith who was running the restaurant never stopped. She greeted people, showed them to a table explained the procedure, took our order and delivered the food. She was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Breakfast is highly recommended if you stay here. It is also very reasonable.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel with family! The room was clean and comfortable and the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Also, a huge thanks to Vessi, Jenny, Judith & Val for being so lovely and attentive at breakfast time on both of our mornings.

The reception area is bright and welcoming, one of the nicer Premier Inn’s as you walk into it. The cleanliness in the room was slightly let down by a few hairs in the bathroom, the window nets were quite dirty and a fair few dead flies on the window ledge. I wouldn’t want to stay here if it was really hot as there is no air con, there is a big fan bit it literally did nothing, not sure if there was something wrong with the blades as you could feel nothing if you put your hand in front of it. We had to ask Reception for some toilet paper as we only had a few sheets. The bed was really comfortable, along with the pillows and duvet, quite a small bed though, my partners feet were hanging out the end. It’s in a good location, plenty of parking and right next door to a Toby Carvery where we had breakfast as it was cheaper than the hotel. Would stay again as the issues were not too much of a problem, wouldn’t stay if the weather was really hot though as it would be unbearable.

Wonderful Premier Plus Room! I stay in a lot of hotels, Premier Inns are a firm favourite - this newly refurbished Plus room is by far the nicest. Yes the hotel lift isn't working and there is refurbishment occurring, but it's a minor temporary inconvenience if the rooms will be this nice. Wonderful addition of wireless bedside charging. The only thing I would change is to have the ability to screen mirror your phone to the TV.
