Brookside House

We very much enjoyed our three night stay (Tuesday-Thursday) at the Brookside House. If you are put off by Boston hotel prices we highly recommend considering this as a reasonably priced option that is 25 minutes from the city via subway. The house is in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from a wide variety of restaurants, the first ever Dunkin' Donuts, and the afore-mentioned subway station (Quincy Center). Lori is a very friendly and helpful host. The facility is older but kept very clean. The in-room fridge was bigger than most and anything else you could possibly need is located in the shared kitchen on the bottom floor. We didn't use the laundry facilities but the machines looked very new. The wi-fi was reliable and fast. Don't be put off by the shared bathroom as they are located in a short hallway between each pair of rooms with doors for each room and the bathroom itself so it is completely possible to maintain privacy. If Boston isn't your thing there are a number of interesting sites in Quincy itself including John Adams NHP.
