Alva Hotel Apartments

We got home from here on Saturday night This was our first time here and definitely won’t be the last On arrival we was told our room number and wasn’t disappointed Beds are so comfortable plenty of room in bedroom Wardrobe had plenty hangers Bathroom was good shower was big and good Kitchen area with 2 settee (bit dated) but was fine Balcony looking on to fig tree was great Pool was great no sunbed wars pool bar is good and a good price for 🍻 We was b&b and there was cereal Boiled eggs Fried eggs beans sausage hash brown bacon (not English) Toast and juice Pizza flox at front of hotel is lovely staff are nice Maids are sooo friendly always said good morning Staff here go above and beyond and are very welcoming Location of hotel is perfect a little hidden gem (manager said) I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel a special mention to guy at breakfast he worked hard then onto pool bar Till next time Thank you

Excellent apart hotel, in a perfect location, close to everything but at the same time quiet, very clean and comfortable, breakfast was buffet style the sausages were delicious, recommend the love boat for evening entertainment and the staff were amazing

4th time to this hotel but haven’t been for 5 years yet some of the staff remembered us! Stayed for two weeks.Location is great,right on the quiet end of the ***** and 5 minutes to Fig Tree bay. I imagine that most rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors get some sort of sea view. The staff are all very friendly,especially the reception staff and night receptionists. The cleaners are excellent and our room was kept immaculately every day,I can’t praise them enough . They even did our washing up on the three occasions I thought my wife had done it and she thought I had,so off we went to the beach. I used to return to the room about 1.30pm from the beach every day. On the first two days,the cleaner was in there cleaning. I think she worked out my routine,and changed hers ,so that every single time I returned in future,she had already done our room. Lovely friendly lady.Hotel very clean in all other areas.Air conditioning in room and hotel reception area excellent. I will stay again because you know what you are getting, the staff are lovely,the rooms are large and I trust that if there was ever a problem, they would sort it out.

The location is perfect, being very close to the beach. The shops and restaurants are close by. The rooms are a good size and clean.

We have just come back from staying in a one bedroom apartment. I will say that there was a lack of sockets and storage. Only one socket in the bedroom which was right across the room. None by the beds. So I do suggest an extension lead. But they were lovely and clean and were cleaned most days and given towels everyday. The maids were so lovely and friendly. The pool area was lovely very clean and had its own pool bar and again the staff were lovely. There is a pizza bar as you come into the apartment block which was fab. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. The pizzas are amazing. However it’s the same everywhere you go. There were sun bed wars and you had to get down very early to get a sun bed. It says you are not allowed to reserve sun beds but it was happening. As half the side of the pool is in the shade for most of the morning. The apartments are in a great location right on the start of the strip,where all the restaurants and bars are. And you are right by Fig tree bay beach which is beautiful. Busy but amazing. Again if you like the beach you have to go early. Plenty of water sports to do. All in all it was a lovely holiday in lovely apartments, they just need tweaking a little.

We have just finished a stay at the Alva apartments and would highly recommend We were a family of four two adults and two kids 12 and 15 We had a one bedroom apartment ( which I was worried about) but it was a large apartment and fully equipped so it was fine Alva apartments are in a great location and the end of the ***** and across the road from fig bay The room was cleaned every day and all the staff were really friendly and helpful Loads of bars and restaurants close by Would recommend tjays bar half way down the ***** really good food Only one downside if you want to get sunbeds at the beach you'll need to get up super early!! Always found a sunbed by the Alva pool though We would definitely book here again if we return to protaras

I'm not usually the one to write reviews, however we were very impressed with this hotel. We booked the hotel simply for location and it did not disappoint. We stayed for 2 weeks and the first week we had no issues with getting a sunbed for a family of 4 and did not reserve and no matter what time of day we were able to get loungers for our family of 4. However, the second week it was a little busier and we did have to reserve beds before 8am. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment, and although not modern like the suites they are very clean, white washed with white furniture. We just had to ask for mattress toppers for the sofa beds which were a little hard but the staff were fantastic and had it done within 15 minutes! The cleaners are really friendly, including the bar staff and reception staff. We had no issues with noise from nearby bars, the only noise is from the air conditioning in the bedroom I did find it slightly noisy. The beach is across the road, you do need to be there again before 8am for sunbeds and do not take any valuables with you. Lovely beach though with great water sports. Pizza Flox is in the front of Alva with ice cream shop, all very good and very good on pricing. This apartment we would come back to without a doubt. First time in protaras and will definitely not be the last! I would recommend this hotel for a budget friendly, relaxed and location!

Travelled as a single Dad with my 8 year old daughter after reading positive reviews....after finally arriving at silly o clock in the morning after yet another Tui delay ( no fault of the hotel) I was looking forward to getting into my room which was in the block opp reception on the ground floor! Now I have read a few reviews about the rooms not measuring upto that as advertised and that unfortunately was the case with ours! Very falsh marketing so I will be taking it up with Tui our travel company.....overall though although basic abd tired attire and stained sofas abd bed covers the room was very spacious with excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the high temperatures....room was made 3 times and fresh towels supplied. Once again my sounded fear was plain to see....not a single sunbed to be found after the throw the towel on the sunbed brigade at 6am then go off to the beach allday! Returning later in the day! Shamed to say us brits are too blame...I witnessed several young families arriving for a dau at the pool scratching their heads trying to find somewhere to sit! Only dealing I had with tge staff was on checking out when the lovely lady on reception let us keep our room on untill 10pm as our flight left at 2am....nice touch and very welcoming so thank you....nice pool very clean and had food a couple of times which was adequate. Overall a 2/3 star hotel which could be so much better with a bit if TLC....couldn't fault the location either....would I return probably not!

Just returned from 2 weeks in the Alva apartments and couldn’t fault them at all. All our group of 7 adults had 1 bedroom apartments in the block opposite the reception. These were very large apartments with all equipped with everything you need including 2 air conditioning units. The apartments were cleaned 5 days per week & bedding changed a couple of times and the maids did a great job. The facilities at the apartments are more than adequate, the pool area is clean, spacious and our group had no problems getting sun beds together & the pool itself is a decent size and again very clean. The pool side bar is again more than adequate, with a good selection of drinks and food at reasonable prices. The bar at the front of the apartments which is a pizza restaurant open to non residents as well is excellent. The pizza’s here are amazing and again reasonably priced. The location of the apartments is in my opinion is fantastic, at the quiet end of the ***** next to the Love Boat bar & only a 2 minute walk down to the beach at Fig Tree Bay. There are an abundance of restaurants and bars very close to the apartments. This was our 1st visit to Protaras, but will definitely not be our last, and we will definitely return to the Alva apartments.
