The monastery garden hotel was built as a monastery in the 1560's. The hotel is well tucked away from busy streets but well located. Many of the main sites of the old town are within 15 minutes walk Our room was on the second floor up two flights of steep curved and wooden staircases. There is no lift, which was difficult at the end of a long day. Our room was a good size, with adjacent ensuite. The water temperature is difficult to control and I nearly burnt my hand, as its so hot. The bathroom is OK, towels could be larger. I found the beds very hard and had real problems sleeping. Breakfast was really good, choice of fruits, cheeses yoghurt, cereals, different breads , croissants, strudel and cooked. Breakfast is held in a room with curved ceilings. In the summer you can have breakfast in the courtyard.
